Tell Them of Us Trailer

01:23
https://vimeo.com/ondemand/tellthemofus A drama telling the true story of a family in World War One and how their lives changed when their two sons go to war. "...a masterful position in the WW1 conflict" David Sleight – Dean of Public Engagement at University of Lincoln "Finally got round to watching this film this evening. Cried my eyes out for most of the second half, but in a very good way. So lovely to see the story of my family's WW1 experience documented in such a conscientious & sympathetic way. Well done to all involved... even my Dad for his blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo as the Colonel!" Elizabeth Stafford (great granddaughter of William Crowder) "Magnificent piece of work! My wife and I were at the charity premiere in Horncastle on Saturday 22nd November. We were captivated by the film, and, in passing, the venue's own history. Congratulations to all at WAG Screen, Crowders and of course the Thimbleby community. A huge effort and a great outcome." Chris Williams, Archivist, Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School "We took Year 6 and Year 9 to see the film at The Collection this morning: I’m very pleased we did so. It was a very poignant depiction of the family’s perspective and it was very interesting to hear the letters from the sons and see the family’s response. I thought it was a very interesting and moving film: thank you." Nicholas Boot, Lincoln Minster School

Roses - teaser trailer

In 2012 we shot a no-budget short film inspired by the 1989 cult classic 'Heathers' but set in the 1860s! Unfortunately we never completed it, due to time issues, but here's the trailer based on the opening scene of 'Heathers'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kupuUVYxZxU If we can find the time we may return to finish the short, which was written by Dougie Blaxland and starred Tiffany Haynes, Bryony Roberts, Victoria Turton-Blythe and Lucy Roslyn. Costumes by Pauline Loven were based on croquet scenes painted by Winslow Homer.

The Lady of Shalott

14:16
In celebration of the 2009 bicentenary of the birth of Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) WAG Screen and Crow's Eye Productions made a short, filmed dramatisation of his poem The Lady of Shalott to be shown at The Collection, Lincoln. Inspiration for the visual imagery came from the many Pre-Raphaelite paintings that the poem inspired, but most especially the paintings of the artist John William Waterhouse.

The Luttrell Psalter - A Year in a Medieval English Village

20:06
Completed over 10 years ago and now remastered, the Luttrell Psalter film brings the famous 14th century illustrations to life and shows a year of working and living in a medieval village. Guided by the detailed and often humorous images of everyday life from the Luttrell Psalter, the Luttrell Psalter Film gives a unique glimpse of a year in the life of a medieval English village. Filmed over four seasons, it shows the changing landscape with its fields and flowers, and the daily activities which dominated the lives of our forefathers. This 20-minute film draws on over 35 different images from the margins of the manuscript, allowing the people from the Psalter to walk out from its vellum pages. Have a look through the original manuscript on the British Library website and see how many scenes you recognise: http://www.bl.uk/manuscripts/Viewer.aspx?ref=add_ms_42130_f060r More on the clothing here: https://luttrellpsalter.wordpress.com/2010/12/30/the-luttrell-psalter-film-clothing-part-1/

Superior Threads

04:27
http://www.machinequilter.co.uk/threads%20portal%20page.htm It's easy to forget when you're using high-tech machines and frames that quilting is really all about needles and thread. Using the right thread makes all the difference. Having tried them all, we think that Superior Threads are the finest machine quilting threads available. We stock the larger spools because they are best suited for machine quilting. Larger spools are more economical and they move more smoothly through your sewing machine. We have a thread stand that will allow older machines to use large spools. http://www.machinequilter.co.uk/threads%20portal%20page.htm
