Why Dating Methods Can Date Nothing
Radiometric dating methods rely upon circular logic, such as calibration curves and dating fossils by rocks by strata by fossils by rocks by strata. When employing dating methods, evolutionists toss out dates which dissagree with the assumed age of something only to publish the date that seems to come closest to their assumption. You are never told about the dates which dissagreee with their assumptions. They are not scientific and ignora several scientific observations which make it clear that they are worthless. The Unikaret lava formation near the bottom of the Grand Canyon has been dated at 10,000 YA 117 MYA 1.39 BYA 2.6 BYA 853 MYA 1.1 BYA 715 MYA The University of Arizona has discovered Native American tools have been found in the lava Unikaret lava formation, which they state were put there between 800-1,000 yrs old. Samples from the 1986 dacite flow on Mount St Helens, Washington were K-Ar tested to a date of 350,000 years old! answersingenesis . o r g / tj / v10 / i3 / argon . a s p Mt Ngauruhoe erupted several times in the past 25-50 years and several of these samples have been K-Ar dated to ages of 250,000 -- 3,500,000 years old! This is an 1,000,000% error! answersingenesis . o r g / creation / v22 / i1 / dating . a s p Diamonds are the hardest substance known and can not be penetrated with contaminants. Evolutionists teach diamonds formed millions or billions of years ago out of carbon deep in the crust. If this is true than the radioactive 14C should be undetectable after 100,000 due to its fast decay rate. Diamonds were sampled from 12 locations all over the world and they contained measurable amounts of 14C. icr . o r g / carbon-14 / CreationismCoal supposedly formed millions or hundreds of millions of years ago according to evolutionists but coal samples have also been tested and they also contain measurable amounts of 14C. These results support what the Bible says about the young age of the Earth and the world wide flood. icr . o r g / rate / Radiometric dating methods use a material of pressumed age as a control for calibration, such as a rock of assumed age or an index fossil (of assumed age). There is nothing imperical about dating methods. To this are added "fudge factors". Dating methonds are circular logic and incapable of dating anything because they do not use a material of empirically known age for calinration, and are therefore incapable of providng a date for anything. The sun produces C-14 in the upper atmosphere, and at the same time it decays which removes it from the Earth. Because the Earth has not acheived C-14 equalibrium but is instead still increasing, which would take approximately 30,000 yrs, C-14 verifies the fact that the Earth is less than 30,000 yrs old.

Carbon Dating
Many people believe that carbon dating has proven the Biblical timeline is not scientifically valid. It supposedly dates some material beyond 6,000 years. Because the theory of evolution requires millions of years to be viable, a young earth position is in direct opposition to that theory. However, in many cases carbon dating has not assisted evolutionists in the attempt to prove the theory of evolution. Take coal, for example. If in fact it is millions of years old it should have no traces of carbon -14 in it. However scientists to date have not yet found any coal completely lacking all carbon 14. While this may baffle many scientists it makes perfect sense to creation scientists who believe that the earth is relatively young. Richard Dawkins - Dating The Earth - Dendrochronology
Richard Dawkins & Lalla Ward reading from Chapter 4 "Silence and Slow Time" of Dawkins' 2009 book "The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution". Dawkins describes Dendrochronology, or tree-ring dating, which is the scientific method of dating based on the analysis of patterns of tree-rings. Dendrochronology can date the time at which tree rings were formed, in many types of wood, to the exact calendar year. This has three main areas of application: paleoecology, where it is used to determine certain aspects of past ecologies (most prominently climate); archaeology, where it is used to date old buildings, etc.; and radiocarbon dating, where it is used to calibrate radiocarbon ages. In some areas of the world, it is possible to date wood back a few thousand years, or even many thousands. In most areas, however, wood can only be dated back several hundred years, if at all. Currently, the maximum for fully anchored chronologies is a little over 11,000 years from present. Australian Cave Painting Found To Be One of World's Oldest
As art goes, it's a Quaternary classic. An archaeologist discovered an aboriginal cave painting in the Australian outback that was created 28,000 years ago. Bryce Barker, from the University of Southern Queensland, originally made the find last year. Because most rock art is made with mineral paint, it's difficult to get an accurate measure of age. But Barker's find at the Nawarla Gabarnmang cave dwelling was created using charcoal, so he was able to employ radiocarbon dating, which gave him the astonishing age of the art—now believed to be one of the oldest in the world. Spain's El Castillo still has seniority over Australia's find by about 12,000 years. But the Australian shelter may have had dwellers—if not decorations—for just as long.

All living things are made up of about 25% carbon. The carbon atom is unique because it can bind to other carbon atoms to form long chains and rings and these in turn serve as the backbone of the complex molecules that make life possible. The nucleus of a typical carbon atom has 6 protons and 6 neutrons. But about one carbon atom out of every 100 has one extra neutron. This has very little effect on the properties of the carbon, other than making it slightly heavier. Chemically, it acts just like any other carbon atom. It is called Carbon-13. And there is an even rarer type of carbon. It is formed high in the atmosphere when cosmic rays strike atoms of nitrogen converting them into Carbon -14. Carbon-14 is also chemically identical to regular carbon. But the nucleus of carbon-14 is unstable. After some amount of time, which could range from a few days to many thousands of years, carbon-14 decays back into nitrogen. But since carbon-14 is formed at a steady rate, there is a constant level of it in the environment. Out of every trillion carbon atoms in your body, only one dozen of them are carbon-14. As long as an organism is alive and eating, it maintains a constant ratio of carbon-14 to regular carbon. But once an organism dies, the amount of carbon-14 in its body begins to decrease. After 5000 years about half of the original number of carbon-14 atoms will have decayed. Using this fact, scientists can tell how long ago an organism died. • http://www.cassiopeiaproject.com

CHF acquires instrument that played a role in the development of carbon-14 dating.
CHF has acquired the "Libby Shield" from the National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (part of the Department of Homeland Security). The instrument played a key role in the development of carbon-14 dating. When Willard Libby received his Nobel Prize in 1960 for discovering the Radiocarbon dating process, the Nobel Committee asserted, "Seldom has a single discovery in chemistry had such an impact on the thinking in so many fields of human endeavor." Radiocarbon dating is a radiometric (or radioactive) dating technique that measures the amount of the naturally occurring (and radioactive) element Carbon 14. Scientists employ this method to determine the age of carbon-rich materials up to about 60,000 years. Libby initially hypothesized the existence of natural C-14 in the atmosphere in 1946. He first needed to demonstrate the presence of this natural Carbon 14 in living matter. In order to employ a Geiger Counter (a particle detector that determines whether objects emit nuclear radiation) that could accurately measure the radioactive Carbon 14 isotope, Libby needed a "shield" that would limit radioactive background noise, the naturally occurring radiation emitted by soil, groundwater, building materials, radioactive substances in the body and cosmic rays from outer space. Because its 12,000 lb. weight makes it too heavy for our museum, the Libby Shield is being stored in CHF's collections facility and will be made available for historical researchers.

Radiometric Dating is Flawed!! Really? How Old IS the Earth [MIRROR]
Original video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGDrq8rikJc THIS VIDEO IS LACED WITH SARCASM (to those who have difficulty sensing it). Scientists admit that radiometric dating, one of the fundamental techniques used to show the earth is billions of years old is flawed!!! The earth is not 4.55 billion years old. Watch and find out just how old it really is. Of course, scientists are always refining their techniques, it's part of of science works. Creationists have pointed to a number of "results" from radiometric dating that prove it doesn't work. Here I go over all the reasons why. Why is there Carbon-14 in some coal. Why did Potassium-Argon dating of the 1980 eruption of Mount Saint Helens give ages on the order of hundreds of thousands of years. Radioactivity - Nature's Impeturbable Clock (untechnical)
The non-technical part of the lecture, dealing with how radiometric dating works, is tested, and has been found to be unwavering under all conditions -thwarting all attempts by creationists to deem radioactive decay as influenceable and thus possibly inaccurate. (And in fact, because of this unwavering nature of random decay you can see the reason for the birth of Quantum Mechanics -what has been called the single most tested and precise theory in the history of science. So to throw out radiometric dating, one would have to throw out all of Quantum Mechanics, which gave us lasers, transistors, the microchip ...much of which you're likely using right now.)

Pat Robertson Denounces Creationism?
"Televangelist Pat Robertson challenged the idea that Earth is 6,000 years old this week, saying the man who many credit with conceiving the idea, former Archbishop of Ireland James Ussher, "wasn't inspired by the Lord when he said that it all took 6,000 years." The statement was in response to a question Robertson fielded Tuesday from a viewer on his Christian Broadcasting Network show "The 700 Club." In a submitted question, the viewer wrote that one of her biggest fears was that her children and husband would not go to heaven "because they question why the Bible could not explain the existence of dinosaurs." "You go back in time, you've got radiocarbon dating. You got all these things, and you've got the carcasses of dinosaurs frozen in time out in the Dakotas," Robertson said. "They're out there. So, there was a time when these giant reptiles were on the Earth, and it was before the time of the Bible. So, don't try and cover it up and make like everything was 6,000 years. That's not the Bible."* Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian find themselves stunned when they agree with Pat Robertson on something! Robertson recently challenged creationism while on The 700 Club, and the idea that the earth is 6,000 years old. *Read more from Dan Merica/ CNN: http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/11/29/pat-robertson-challenges-creationism/ Support The Young Turks by Subscribing http://bit.ly/TYTonYouTube Support The Young Turks by Shopping http://bit.ly/XhuNqO Like Us on Facebook: Follow Us on Twitter: http://bit.ly/OkX87X Buy TYT Merch: http://theyoungturks.spreadshirt.com/

Neanderthals: Artistic, After All?
Follow: @SlateViral, Facebook.com/SlateVideo Watch: YouTube.com/Slatester, SlateV.com We know they can sell insurance, but were Neanderthals artists too? Scientists using improved radioactive carbon-dating techniques are now able to more accurately determine the age of Europe's most famous prehistoric cave paintings. Their revelation? The so-called Panel of Hands in Spain's El Castillo cave, simple red circles and hand stencils, were created more than 40 thousand years ago, when Neanderthals were known to exist. Hardly the sophisticated animal drawings of future cave artists, these ancient splotches and outlines could still prove that our assumptions about the cultural ignorance of Neanderthals aren't exactly fair. There's only one problem with this Flintstone fine art theory. New science suggests that humans and Neanderthals were both in Europe at the same time—and like any good backpackers, they were also sharing, ahem, their beds. So without a signature at the bottom, we're not sure who exactly made these paintings. Researchers say there is a solution. Find an older cave painting, created before those pesky Homo sapien hipsters started polluting the art scene and making it all, err ... highbrow.

Science Bulletins: Shrinking Glaciers—A Chronology of Climate Change
Analysis of Earth's geologic record can reveal how the climate has changed over time. Scientists in New Zealand are examining samples from the rocky landscape once dominated by glaciers. They are employing a new technique called surface exposure dating, which uses chemical analysis to determine how long minerals within rocks have been exposed to the air since the glaciers around them melted. Comparisons of this data with other climate records have revealed a link between glacial retreat and rising levels of carbon dioxide in the air, findings that are informing scientists' understanding of global climate change today.
