9/11 WTC 7 Demolition Compilation

14:11
The official FEMA report states: "The collapse of WTC 7 had a small debris field as the facade was pulled downward, suggesting an internal failure and implosion ... Demolishing a building so that it collapses straight down into its own footprint requires such skill that only a handful of demolition companies in the world will attempt it." Shortly after the core columns under the East Penthouse of the "fire-proof" WTC 7 collapsed initiated with a loud boom, the rest of the building collapsed mostly into its footprint in under 7 seconds — near free-fall speed. Kamal S. Obeid, structural engineer, with a masters degree in Engineering from UC Berkeley, of Fremont, California, says: "Photos of the steel, evidence about how the buildings collapsed, the unexplainable collapse of WTC 7, evidence of thermite in the debris as well as several other red flags, are quite troubling indications of well planned and controlled demolition" Ronald H. Brookman, structural engineer, with a masters degree in Engineering from UC Davis, of Novato California, writes: "Why would all 110 stories drop straight down to the ground in about 10 seconds, pulverizing the contents into dust and ash - twice. Why would all 47 stories of WTC 7 fall straight down to the ground in about seven seconds the same day? It was not struck by any aircraft or engulfed in any fire. An independent investigation is justified for all three collapses including the surviving steel samples and the composition of the dust." Graham John Inman, structural engineer, of London, England, points out: "WTC 7 Building could not have collapsed as a result of internal fire and external debris. NO plane hit this building. This is the only case of a steel frame building collapsing through fire in the world. The fire on this building was small & localized therefore what is the cause?" Paul W. Mason, structural engineer, of Melbourne, Australia, argues: "In my view, the chances of the three buildings collapsing symmetrically into their own footprint, at freefall speed, by any other means than by controlled demolition, are so remote that there is no other plausible explanation!" "In my opinion WTC7 was with the utmost probability brought down by controlled demolition done by experts" -Hugo Bachmann, Professor emeritus for structural analysis and construction at ETH and former Chairman of the Department of Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. The NIST hypothesis offers NO explanation for the collapse of half the core columns. NIST did not examine one (1) piece of WTC 7 steel, nor did any other expert. The sudden and complete destruction of World Trade Center 7 was not included in the 911 Commission Report.

Dramatic video: Giant sinkhole swallows house in China

00:45
Two buildings in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou vanished into a sinkhole on Monday, but authorities filled in the hole in less than 24 hours, China's state broadcaster CCTV reported. No one was hurt in the collapse because the people who lived in the buildings had moved out. The sinkhole appeared on Monday, causing a three-storey building to collapse. More subsidence occurred later that evening, leading to the collapse of another three-storey building. A train travels through the middle of a narrow street in Vietnam everyday making residents retreat into their homes. The train passes twice a day and there have been some close calls and unfortunate accidents in the past. Some residents move their scooters from outside when the train comes through as there are only inches between the train and the wall. Report by Genelle Aldred. Fukushima Ground Turning to QUICKSAND, Buildings May Topple update 8/13/13

14:45
They are turning ground into quicksand at Fukushima plant — Engineers warn reactor units may topple. At 4:10 in Thom Hartmann, Host: So what's the fate and future Fukushima first of all? Kevin Kamps, Beyond Nuclear: [...] In the context of what's going on now with the groundwater flooding of the site — because one of their mitigation measures which is pretty not very well thought out, was building a seawall by freezing the ground — and guess what? The groundwater is piling up behind the seawall. [...] by backing up the water under the entire site, they are turning the ground into quicksand. And that's causing less stability — more instability. There are structural engineers and nuclear engineers warning that may be the final straw that's needed to topple not only Unit 4, but perhaps some of those other destroyed units with their high-level radioactive waste stored in pools fifty feet up in the air.[...] If that [Unit 4] pool goes down — enough of that fuel is still in there — it'll be on fire [...] Hartmann: And the prevailing winds and the prevailing ocean currents take water from the coast of Japan where? Kamps: To North America. Within days of the Fukushima Daiichi catastrophe beginning, we were getting fallout coming down in rain in the United States — not in insignificant quantities. And also, of course, the seafood. Not only does the ocean's currents bring the radioactivity this way, but also the sea life itself. The blue fin tuna migrated from Japan to North America and carried the radioactive cesium in its flesh over here. Title: Interview with Kevin Kamps Source: Thom Hartmann Program Date: August 12th, 2013 Fukushima: Is the "China Syndrome" Happening? http://youtu.be/MOhb4gVM6rY Japan Official: Fukushima reactor buildings could "topple" — Tepco's work to change flow of groundwater can form pools below surface that soften the earth Title: Japan Nuclear Plant's Battle to Contain Radioactive Water Source: Wall St Journal Authors: MARI IWATA and PHRED DVORAK Date: August 6, 2013 [...] as [Tepco] prepares this week to start work on a new set of measures that would ring off and cap the area where the most highly contaminated water has been found, some experts and regulators are saying that the battle to completely contain radioactivity to the site of one of the world's worst nuclear accidents may be a losing one. [...] It's preparing to extend the underground hardened-earth barrier in a ring around the most heavily contaminated section of coastline, in hopes of heading groundwater off before it can flood in. Tepco is also proposing to cap that ringed section with gravel and asphalt, so nothing gets out. The operator is hoping to get an initial ring of hardened ground done by October. [...] But there's a risk to changing the flow of groundwater in the ways that Tepco is considering, said Tatsuya Shinkawa, nuclear accident response director of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, at a news conference last month. The water could pool dangerously underground, softening the earth and potentially toppling the reactor buildings, he said. [...] BBC: Water crisis at Fukushima has only just begun — "Plant sits smack in the middle of an underground aquifer" — It's rapidly being overwhelmed deep beneath ground Title: Fukushima radioactive water leak an 'emergency' Source: BBC News Date: August 6, 2013 Transcript Excerpts Rupert Wingfield-Hayes, BBC News, Tokyo: [...] Engineers are now facing a new emergency. The Fukushima plant sits smack in the middle of an underground aquifer. Deep beneath the ground, the site is rapidly being overwhelmed by water. [...] It's now so high, the water will soon reach the surface. Then it will start flowing over-ground into the sea. [...] Even if the government does step in, it's not clear what it could do. The only other solution is to pump out the contaminated groundwater and put it in storage tanks. [...] Most of them are already filled up. At least 400 tons of new water pours into the site every day. It's going to continue for years and years. Kia Kaha , Hi Viewers, 2014 prediction: http://youtu.be/i6VNp7FcVmo September earth predictions seems to have a lot of messages pertaining to our skies... whats in them, whats going on in them, whats coming from them... and so on. There could be much sky related activity for September, including planet conjunctions, and issues surrounding that... moon, solar activity, things falling from the sky, planes, weapons, rockets, meteorites etc.. Buildings as well... In the last two days ( Aug 27th 28th there have been two buildings collapses again) The message card...... I always think of tsunamis with that card, but in hindsight, I think of the huge Japanese tsunami, and the damage what was wrought there,.. I felt that the sea bed or sea walls are in the message, and of course, Fukshima has just upgraded its pollution warning level to 3... with toxic nuclear waste leaking into our Pacific Ocean ! Sinkhole Engulfs Two Buildings in Southern China

01:01
A giant sinkhole swallowed a group of buildings in southern China on Monday, prompting authorities to evacuate the surrounding area. It happened in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong province. State-run media says the area is near a construction site of a new underground train station. The sinkhole first appeared on Monday afternoon, bringing down the first three-storey building. It was quite a spectacle for those nearby. Hours later, as they watched the rubble settle, the building next to it came crumbing down, falling into a hole more than 30 feet deep. The building collapse cut off power lines and water pipes from surrounding residents. Luckily the buildings were vacant and no one was injured. Sinkholes are not uncommon in China. They have appeared in more than fifty cities across the country, including Beijing and Shanghai. State-run People's Daily reports that an increase in the number of skyscrapers and poor drainage development are to blame for this phenomena. 14. Chernobyl Exclusion zone: walking up a 16 levels building in the ghost city of Pripyat

03:41
Subscribe: https://goo.gl/rKDQdQ After the visit to school number 3, we go to see a huge apartment block. We drove to Lesya Ukrainka Street 56 where we visit a 16 levels building, there were around 6-7 of those in Pripyat. We are given instructions to climb the stairs and once on the top not to stay a long time on the roof (2 minutes). We are also told not to approach to the edge of the building as we can be seen from many kms away and that could really get us in trouble as going into the buildings is now forbiden. On the entry to the bulding we see the name of the owners of the 127 apartments. It feels strange for a buliding that has been empty for 26 years, but nothing is normal in this city. The stairs are safe although very dirty: dust, broken glass, wall paper, personal objects and other staff. I walk as fast as I can to the top. More or less on the level 8 I decide to have a look to one of the apartments. I go inside and after a quick inspection I go back to the stairs. The apartments are not safe any more, with lots of broken things I am afraid of falling into a hole and break my head or cut my legs with any of the rusty-rotten metal objects in what used to be a home. In each level the door of the lift is open, a wrong step will take you several meters down quickly. I also stop on floor 15 where there seems to be a kind of open space to keep pipes and machinery for the building. After walking for while a see a mummified dead dog. The animal either had lost his way down or just starved to death. Only left bones and skin left. Once on the top the view was breathtaking and seeing Pripyat I understood the size of the city and how much of it is being re-claimed by nature. Lots of the smaller buildings were completely swallowed by the sea of trees. We walk for a few minutes under stress to avoid being seen. On the distance it can see "the monster": Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Just a few kms away. From the top of this building one realises how close the citizens of Pripyat suffered the most dramatic nuclear incident on human history. Fail: Landslip demolished £1.5 Million Ridgemont House in Babacombe Torbay (Aftermath)

05:13
£1.5 Million mansion is reduced to rubble by a landslide http://operationoasis.com More detailed information about Torquay Geology: West, Ian M. 2013. Geology of Torquay, Devon; Part of Geology of the Wessex Coast Website, Ian West and Southampton University. http://www.southampton.ac.uk/~imw/Torquay.htm A safe stands outside the front, illustrating that there were once wealthy residents residing here and none more famous than Mr lyle of Tate & Lyle Sugar, for whom we believe the house was built with panoramic views of the coastline as a retirement refuge in the 30's Ridgeway House in Torquay was purchased by retired police officer Sue Diamond, who made a telephone bid at auction of £154,500 for the house high on the cliffs above Oddicombe beach in February 2010, without viewing it or having a survey done. She must have been delighted to have acquired this stately home for a fraction of it's peak value which would have been around £1.5mil Eight days after the auction hammer fell, it soon became apparent that it wasn't the only thing to have fallen. Her garden and swimming pool also fell off the top of a 300 foot cliff onto the beach below, following a massive landslide. Fortunately no one was buried or injured. Miss Diamond said then that the house was uninhabitable and worth only £3,500, and has been fighting a legal battle with the builder who sold it to her, Matthew Taylor. Today, following another massive landslide, the house has broken it's back and is now reduced to worthless rubble. The auction particulars warned buyers that the six-bedroom house was structurally unsound and probably beyond economic repair. A judge in 2010 ordered Miss Diamond to pay Mr Taylor what she owed. The front of the once magnificent property resembles a scene from world war 2 air raids. Last week, more than half of the house has already slipped down the cliff and huge bottomless crevices have opened up around the rest of Ridgemont House. Through a telephoto lens we can see the extent of the landslip where thousands of tonnes of boulders and soil have formed a slope down to the beach. The British coastline is under increasing threat from coastal erosion, flooding and landslides, many homes and towns now lay beneath the waves and many more will follow. Yet on these slopes we can see that trees have stood fast and held their ground, holding back rubble and soil. In years to come, more vegetation will establish itself on the naturally formed slope bringing soil stability with their deep rooted systems and the transpiring vegetation will wick away some of the excess rainwater. The sheer sandstone cliffs offer little resistance to landslides and wet weather causes cracks and crevices to open up, which channel water to the base of the cliff and cause slumping metres back from the initial slip. Inevitably we can expect more land to be lost in the short term but if trees can be planted on the slope when it settles they will help to slow this coastal erosion process down. We have presented this natural living solution at the House of Commons and in East Anglia to stakeholders who are at risk of coastal erosion and flooding. In Dorset near Naish Farm, a 300 foot cliff was landscaped to a slope with drainage installed and vegetation planted. It has remained stable for the last 26 years, yet the unprotected cliff immediately below Naish Farm has eroded. The heavy rainfall we experienced in 2012 is undoubtedly responsible for the increased landslides we are seeing around the coast and nature is showing us that gravity is a powerful force which has the potential to deliver devastating consequences when we ignore it. More prestigious houses in the same road are currently up for sale and a view from the rear shows that they will also face the same fate in years to come and I sincerely believe that we can help to stabilise these newly formed slopes with trees and vegetation just as nature would given enough time. But we don't have time we need to act now! The FREdome Trust is sponsoring the living bio-shield solution to coastal erosion and flooding. More information on the solution: http://operationoasis.com http://fredome.org

Building Collapses into a Massive Sinkhole in Guangzhou, China - 2013-01-31

01:03
Thousands are without power and at least five shops have been destroyed as the Guangzhou collapse took out buildings and snapped electrical cables. The massive sinkhole is nearly 1000 square feet wide, 30 feet deep and still growing. This is not the first such collapse along Kangwang Road. In 2004, a site near Xinguang Plaza also collapsed due to instability caused by the construction of an underground tunnel. Although the precise cause of the Guangzhou sinkhole is unknown, it is believed my some to be a consequence of rapid economic expansion and poor development planning - the same two factors that characterize many of China's ever expanding numbers of sinkholes. 01-31-2013

Shipping container family home: building blocks in Redwoods

09:33
Shipping container playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMRx8kgwkvhJ7C_htu4x5i_-rCYapdlDC Kam Kasravi and Connie Dewitt wanted a modern cabin that wouldn't disrupt the Redwoods on their property. First they considered prefabs, but quickly realized they wouldn't fit up the narrow road to their land in the Santa Cruz mountains. So they convinced their friend, architect David Fenster, to design them a home made from shipping containers. Built from recycled cargo containers hand-picked from the Port of Oakland, Six Oaks was built around the footprint of the land. The containers were building blocks that were cut and stacked to fit between Redwoods along a steep grade. While the home was assembled in 6 hours, it took nearly a year to finish the interior since so much of it was custom. The unique materials meant some unique requirements: instead of carpenters, they used welders; a commercial roofer had to be hired, etc. Acoording to Connie, it wasn't "the cheapest way to build", but It cost about $50 per square foot less than a more conventional custom home. They didn't aim to build an extreme home, but the couple feel confident their home will hold up well under extreme conditions- i.e. falling trees, forest fires. Connie jokes that if a tree does fall on the home, "it will get a little dent and we'll call the auto body shop to fix the house". Manatee Historical Village

03:28
Entering the tree-lined field of Manatee Village Historical Park is like falling into a vortex. A few paces and you're in the middle of a collection of 19th century buildings, including the 1860 Manatee County Courthouse, the 1887 Union Congregation Church, a one-room school house from 1908, the King Wiggins General Store, established in 1903, the Apple Store of its day, with the first telephone in the region, and a mill where cane syrup was made, (a horse hitched to the end of the sweep walked in circles grinding the stalks.) Cathy Slusser, Director of Historical Resource, who wrote an historical novel set in pioneer days Manatee County, "From a Heavenly Land: Eliza's Story," tells one of her favorite tales of the era, when one Ellen Clark, a mid-19th century homesteader, lost Charles, one of her workers. He wanted to be transferred to his family home in New York for proper burial, so she stuffed his body in a whiskey barrel, nailed the lid shut, and put him on the first ship north. "He was the first Manatee County man to be pickled," she shares. It's all worth the price of admission, even at ten times the fee of free.

Dam breach: lego men in danger by the flood...

03:12
How Lego toys help understanding the world: This is an experiment in my garden showing how a dam or dike would collapse when water rises: not because waterlevel is raising higher than the dam, but because the dam is sliding down due to water pressure in the sand.... Watch the lego men falling down... The film has been edited by my 7 year old son, using the youtube editor, isnt it great? ;-) Check out our blog: http://watersandlego.blogspot.nl/ This is most likely the way how most dikes along rivers collapse: not by overtopping, but by water pressure weakening the dam... making the dike slide down.... Solovetsky Monastery - Russia - UNESCO World Heritage Site

02:52
Solovetsky Monastery was founded in 1436 by the monk Zosima, however, monks German (Herman) and Savvatiy (Sabbatius) from Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery lived on the island from 1429 to 1436, and are considered as founders of the monastery as well. Zosima also became the first hegumen of the monastery. After Novgorodian Marfa Boretskaya donated her lands at Kem and Summa to the monastery in 1450, the monastery quickly enlarged its estate, which was situated on the shores of the White Sea and the rivers falling into it. The monastery in the 1780s. In the 15th and 16th centuries, Solovetsky Monastery extended its producing and commercial activity, becoming an economic and political center of the White Sea region. Its business activities included saltworks (in the 1660s, it owned 54 of them), seafood production, trapping, fishery, mica works, ironworks, pearl works etc., which engaged a large population in the area. Archmandrites of the monastery were appointed by the tsar himself and the patriarch. Peter the Great visited the Solovetsky Island in 1694. By the 17th century, Solovetsky Monastery had already had some 350 monks, 600-700 servants, artisans and peasants. In the 1650s and 1660s, the monastery was one of the strongholds of the Raskol. The Solovetsky Monastery Uprising of 1668--1676 was aimed at Nikon's ecclesiastic reform and took on an anti-feudal nature. In 1765, Solovetsky Monastery became stauropegic (from the Greek stauros meaning "cross" and pegio meaning "to affirm"), i.e. it subordinated directly to the Synod. Together with the Sumskoy and Kemsky stockades, Solovetsky Monastery represented an important frontier fortress with dozens of cannons and a strong garrison. In the 16th to 17th centuries, the monastery succeeded a number of times in repelling the attacks of the Livonian Order and the Swedes (in 1571, 1582 and 1611).[citation needed] During the Crimean War, Solovetsky Monastery was attacked by three British ships. After nine hours of shelling on the 6 and 7 July,[vague] the vessels left with nothing. Between the 16th and the early 20th centuries, the monastery was also a place of exile for the opponents of autocracy and official Orthodoxy and a center of Christianization in the north of Russia. The monastery also had a huge library of manuscripts and old books. The monastery in August 2009. The pride of the monks was the monastery's garden which had many exotic flora, such as the Tibetan wild roses presented to the monks by Agvan Dorzhiev, a famous lama. After the Bolshevik Revolution, the Soviet authorities closed down the monastery and incorporated many of the buildings into Solovki prison camp, one of the earliest forced-labor camps of the GULAG during the 1920s and 1930s. The camp was mainly used for cutting trees, and when the trees were gone, the camp was closed. Before the Second World War, a naval cadet school was opened on the island. (Source Wikipedia)

Taiwan rockslide: 2,000-ton boulder teetering, close to falling

01:06
Footage of a 330-ton boulder rolling down a Keelung mountainside in Taiwan during a rainstorm and almost flattening a passing car below went viral. However, most people are unaware of the fact that there is an even bigger rock still teetering on the edge of the mountain, ready to tumble down 150 meters into the 75 or so homes and shops below. The second boulder weighs about 2,000 tons, which is roughly equivalent to the weight of 200 fully grown African elephants. To prevent the boulder from tumbling down the mountain, experts plan to bore holes into the large rock and inject it with a material that will gradually expand. When this happens, the material will crack and shatter the rock from the inside, breaking it into much more manageable pieces that can be hauled away. The first boulder came crashing down the mountain on August 31 when heavy rains loosened the dirt underneath the humongous rock. -------------------------------------------------------- TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news. Biggest Ghost Town... Must Watch!

02:45
Please take a look at my other video that shows Ghost Towns in Scandinavia ( Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLPPeaZ9BTo Varosha Info Below Following the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, on 20 July 1974 in response to a Greek-backed coup, the Greek Cypriot Army withdrew its forces to Larnaca. The Turkish Army advanced as far as the Green Line, which is the present day border between the two communities. Just hours before the Turkish Army and the Greek Cypriot Army met in military combat on the streets of Famagusta, the entire population, fearing a massacre, fled. Many refugees fled south to the towns of Paralimni, Deryneia, and Larnaca. Paralimni has since become the modern day capital of the Famagusta province in the Republic of Cyprus. When the Turkish Army gained control of the area during the invasion, they fenced it off and have since barred admittance to anyone except Turkish military and United Nations personnel. The Annan Plan had provided for the return of Varosha to Greek Cypriot control, but this never happened, as the plan was rejected by Greek Cypriot voters. The reason why Varosha is abandoned is due to the UN Security Council Resolution 550 (taken in 11 May 1984),[3] which in short states that: "attempts to settle any part of Varosha by people other than its inhabitants as inadmissible". Since TRNC is not allowed to resettle the area and the area is under TRNC control, this situation led to the abandonment of the Varosha district. Since 1974, entry to the district is forbidden with the exception of the TSK personnel and the students of the girls' dormitory in there. As no one has inhabited the area and no repairs have been carried out, all of the buildings are slowly falling apart. Nature is reclaiming the area, as metal corrodes, windows break, and plants work their roots into the walls and pavement. Sea turtles have been seen nesting on the deserted beaches. Car dealerships are stocked with vintage 1974 models, and years following the abandonment, people claimed to have seen lightbulbs still burning in the windows of abandoned buildings.
