Never before seen Tsunami footage showing how one wave devours an office building in an instant. This is the type of footage I have been looking for. This video was taken after a huge earthquake struck Japan in March of 2011. Japan Tsunami. I want to thanks the owner for letting me share this with others on YouTube. Gigantic Waves destroy building in an instant. "Indonesia Tsunami 2012" Tsunami Hits Indonesia April 2012. EARTH QUAKE AND TSUNAMI in INDONESIA 4/11/2012

Possibly the worst capturing of a disaster ever, showing water close up with no reference to its size or flow of it and the constant wavering up and down, side to side almost made me puke. Other than that, great video....cough.

We need to take care of our waters more after things like this we just let stuff fall to the bottom of the oceans or float adrift but we need to really clean up and help the world to strive longer the water was here millions of years before us and it's gonna be millions of years after us we need to take care of it for the future generations of kids

I don't think that they understood what they were seeing at first. I mean, really, prior to video, few humans ever witnessed such a thing. The true telling of their character is the tone of their voices at the end. By then, they knew that this was an enormous tragedy and were, in my opinion, troubled and humbled by what they were witnessing.
Must have been an earthquake somewheres.

Laurence Dantin (10 days ago)
topgeardel (10 days ago)
The people taking the video do not seem to be in fearful awe of what is happening. Maybe b/c they are not where the tsunami is. Nothing at all humorous about any of this.

I feel so much for the terror these people went through 100% no doubt.....However the camera work on nearly all the tsunami filming is horrendous, flicking all over the place, zooming in and out, fixing on one spot only to move the camera when something is about to happen, all just dreadful camera work.

Pete Beauds (19 days ago)
I was in Sendai at that time, I lived there for nearly 22 years. I was teaching in the city when the event took place and fortunately was not near the coast, where I had jobs over the years. I heard and witnessed so many stories and sadly the event affected lives for much longer than what happened on the day. I still have a hard time talking about what I saw when people ask me about it. There are people who were displaced on that day that are still living in "temporary" housing. I wonder how they feel about their government spending billions on the 2020 olympics instead of taking care of their own people, wait...it's government....what am I saying? Governments are the same everywhere.
C-N RNeb (8 days ago)
Pete Beauds Thank you for sharing your story and I am glad you were safe. I grew up with Japanese friends from school in Brazil. So many of my friends went back to their ancestor’s home for awhile... my heart hurts every time I watch a video about it.

It would be a tossup whether I'd like to see a tsunami wipe Hollywood, or Washington DC. There are still three or four good people left in Hollywood so I guess the choice would be Washington.

Holly Rockwell (23 days ago)
That poor crow; he is trying and trying to warn about the approaching wave. He tries three times before it hits. The sirens don't sound until the wave is already there and then goes for only a few seconds. The crow did his best but I doubt anyone paid attention. Maybe one person looked out to see what all his noise was about and escaped, I'd like to think so...

Just wanna let you guys know that, believe it or not, laughing is a coping mechanism when in danger. My money goes on the possibility that it was a nervous laughter rather than a mocking one.

Probably the most powerful natural disaster we will see in our lifetime. The sheer power of these waves is terrifying
Anthony Narozniak (1 month ago)
I like the way the people laughing in the beginning and how the Laughing slowly disappears when they realize they're building is getting flooded out
Jamie Koering (1 month ago)
So fucking sad. Think of all the people that died. Tragic. Life can be so fleeting. Imagine waking up on that day going to work doing your normal things and then next thing you know you're fighting for your life.

So horrible, so...overwhelming. When nature chucks a big planetary sized tantrum all of man's laws and customs and the veneer of civilisation seems so thin and vulnerable. The police, the army, no-one can stop this.
Paul's CCNA (1 month ago)
The guy holding camera sucks. He keeps moving around, instead of just holding it one place...irritating. And yeah, you can see those people running and then, the building is gone. Terrible way to die.
