It's a sad thing that not many people in India are aware of hypothyroidism and since it mostly happens to women, it's ignored even more.
Even I did not know about this until I was diagnosed with hypothyroid at the age of 28.
Before diagnosis I gained weight suddenly, got exhausted easily, felt shivering cold even though temperature not that low, depression, anxiety, mood swings. It happened so suddenly that I did not understand what is going on. I was working too hard, I was so stressed all the time, but kept working, I did not take care of myself, and was very careless.
I had a final burnout, I decided to quit job, and later was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
Thinking that this can happen to women at 30+ or 40+ is wrong, these days even younger than 30 are getting hypothyroid. In my family no one has hypothyroid still I got it.
Take care of yourself and your diet, and getting stressed is not worth it, in hypothyroidism.
Just discovered my TSH was 18...after medication of 1 week i cant tell you how much of a change i feel...its a criminal act against yourself if you do not diagnose it early ...it can slow you down terribly in various spheres ....wish i was more proactive....plz spread the word...

Avoiding Goitrogenic food is a myth, one suffering with hypothyroidism just needs to cook those Goitrogenic foods properly (steam, boil, saute, etc) before eating it and they can have them in adequate amount without any problem , watch Dr.Education's channel for further info.
There has been a lot of research that demonstrates the important connection between your diet and hypothyroidism. There are certain foods that directly contribute to hypothyroidism and should be avoided as part of your treatment for hypothyroidism. Please make a video on hypothyroidism condition where TSH levels are high (hypo) & low (hyper). Apart from variation in T3 and T4, there is also this condition where T3 and T4 are normal but TSH level caused hypothyroidism.
Nothing in this video that's not found in hundreds of other videos/web articles. And this guy is NOT even a doctor nor is a patient nor has any personal experience and yet is giving advice to others with web links that's on every website.
Just Bullshit that exercise is what leads to thyroid issues. Gets your facts right. Most of thyroid issues is a side effect of Hasimotos or Graves. I'm a Hashis patient and a former 4 pack male who used to do crossfit and got diagnosed with hypo years later (and when I had a 4 pack). I take T4 meds and T3 and there's a different chapter for T4-T3 conversion which I won't go into.
Goto Reddit and join the thyroid community there. You'll find better value and material from actual patients/medical professionals than this noob 'utubers' who don't know shit and are quoting internet websites.
Hey buddy !spare me 5 + mins coz its gonna be compartively a bit more lengthy one. its one of those trustworthy channels i hv subscribed to . Its relatable as u speak about a lot of problems we girls face and thyroid is one such problem i am facing which not only has hampered my look but also my voice which is a curse to any musician like me.. no doc hv recommended any medicine other than thyronorm, n i am thankful to none for it. Diets and exercises did help me shed some killos but losing inches has become next to imposible.. in a way my career is at stake as i gotta sing wel and luk wel too.. kindly help.. luking forward for ur reply.

I am a 32 yr old woman suffering from hypothyroidism since a year or more. I discovered this recently and started medication.
Now my issue is that I am gaining weight, but I DON'T want to lose it because I've always been underweight. (5'3" height and 42 to 45 kg anytime, even after 2 kids) So I am quite confused about my diet as well as exercise.
Currently, I am not really exercising other than routine house chores and kids work, almost 5 to 6 km walk per day (according to my tracker). My diet is usual Indian veg diet - roti, sabzi, rice, dal, curd, etc.
I feel quite weak and tired most of the time, have very dry hair and skin, muscle ache, irregular periods, etc, obviously because of the thyroid. What do I do to combat all of this and heal asap? I am quite stressed with the issue, since I have 2 young children and a lot of plans for my interests that I am unable to pursue because of the sickness.
Recently, I went to see a doctor as I am gaining weight despite my limited food habit.Then get myself tested and it shows that normal level of thyroxine hormone is 4.24 but in my case it is 4.90.But doctor doesn't recommend me any medication but suggests to get in to a fitness regime.Will it work?
I know that I have hypothyroidism because my husband and I were trying to have a baby for 2 years and I couldn’t. I went and got labs done at a clinic and they let me know I had hypothyroidism and to follow up with my physician. At the moment I do not have any medical insurance and financially I’m unable to get it any time soon. My question is if it’s already progressed to infertility....is it still something I can cure with diet and exercise??
Selena Castellanos I suggest you to visit doctor and check the level by them. They will give u supplementary pills and monitor monthly how the medicine is working. At the same time, stay fit, strengthening exercises and cardiovascular activities should be regular as well as healthy eating ~ clean eating, Stay blessed.!
Hi , I M 36 , and suffering from thyroid and I take 1.25 MG.....Weight gain and laziness is the issue I am facing....I can't do much yoga n exercise coz I suffer from severe cervical ....so what shud I do...pls recommend.
I love this edgy look! I was so excited that her hair, even as short as it is now, was still able to be put into the fun and trendy dutch pigtail braids! Instead of braiding to the ends, I ended them in close together pigtails at the nape of her neck. After I finished braiding, I tugged on the outsides of the braid gently to loosen them and make them a little messy and fun! Since she doesn’t have enough hair to tie around the elastics, I made sure to use elastics that matched her hair so they blend in as much as possible. You could also cover them with clips or bows! A view from the back of her Dutch pigtail braids! A great braid for short hair is a micro accent braid! My biggest tip for braiding short hair would be to add in small slices of hair rather than big ones. I did a small (micro) braid along a slightly curved deep part for anther cute and edgy look! You could also do another one next to it if you wanted a little more to the look, but I really liked how simple this one was. You can see how the part curves a little better from this view of the back. I ended the braid close to the head with an elastic that matched her hair. For our fourth style, we did a 3/4 french braid! Super simple but also super cute! You could do any type braid! It would also look cute using a Dutch braid or a fishtail braid! I loved the side view of this braid! I will for sure be doing this one next time she goes to gymnastics or swimming, whichever comes first! Our last braid is two four dutch lace braids into two loops in the back. Start off by parting the hair down the middle. On each side of the part, do a dutch lace braid, adding hair in from only the section closest to the part as you braid. Tie the braids together in the back with a small elastic and before you pull the hair all the way through to make a ponytail, leave it in a cute little loop! If the hair is a little bit longer, you could do a tiny bun. Repeat this directly under the braid you just did so you have two rows and two loops.

Abella has been begging me for at least a year, probably closer to two years, to cut her hair. I posted a photo on Instagram with a question in the caption. “Abella has been begging me to cut her hair short, do you think I should let her do it?” Almost everyone said “YES!” So thanks to all of the good advice from my followers, we did it…and we haven’t regretted it for a second! I think she looks so cute and it really fits her personality! It’s for sure a lot harder to come up with braids but it’s pushed me to step out of my comfort zone! We wanted to show you that even if you have short hair, there are lots of cute braids you can still do!
This first braid (above) is three ladder braids. Start out with a part deep to one side. On the side with less hair, start out by doing a waterfall braid along the part. Under that one, do another waterfall braid, but incorporate the waterfall pieces from the one above it as you braid. Under that one, do a french braid. Incorporate the waterfall pieces from the second braid as you go. We braided each one to the ends and used elastics that matched her hair to tie them off.
