This may just be my ignorance, but I have also noticed that casual comes in small, medium and large instead of neck and arm size.

Hey Antonio, I have been watching your videos for months now, and they certainly present some great ideas for dressing sharp.. and since you asked for a tip, I like to cheat a bit in purchasing a shirt, specially if it belongs to some company who do have a store nearby, I visit the store and try the shirt I saw online, verify the size and fit and then go back online and modifying my requirements then ordering the piece in discount. Usually we don't find such hefty discounts offline as we get online for same product. And no need for saying.. great work buddy, keep it up.

I notice that all of your button up shirts are long sleeve.   How do you style short sleeve button up, or do you consider them anathema?

Hey Antonio. I am 5'8", slim build with very thin hands. I wear only slim fit full sleeves shirt all year because I dont like half sleeves shirts. I have heard that a guy of my height should not wear full sleeves? Please help.

Antonio, I am an executive coach and HR consultant.  I'm doing a lot of work right now around executive presence and I'm having more fun watching your videos as I prepare for an out of town workshop.  I've got the women covered well, but I'm no expert on what works for the guys. Now I have someone to refer them to.  I'm so relieved.  You are my new favorite go-to!  I'm delighted to discover your work! Thank you!

Its summer and very hot in the south. You said that t-shirts are a no-no. Then how should I dress?
Jacob Strampe (3 years ago)
+mlw1968 I hope you don't mind if I join in here, but I would recommend a safari shirt. They may be a bit more pricy, but are extremely breathable and carry a classic look.

Hey Antonio I know I asked this question just recently but I found out that you couldn't answer on my comment. So even though this Video covers the subject partially, do you have a video or a blog post about shirts with patterns (cassually or with a suit)? Or do you have a video planned? Would be nice to hear from you! - Till

Awesome Videos! Most of the style tips are brilliant for everyone. I would like to ask what colour or pattern casual shirt would go with dark blue no wash jeans? i am a short guy with little build. what do you recommend?  P.S. Thanks and i have seen almost all your videos i really like your stuff and please keep uploading new style videos

ive always admired this "look" but i was never able to afford it, coming from a not so wealthy family. However, after watching a few of your videos and finding out that i can purchase a lot of these clothes online or at thrift stores has convinced me to go through with a complete wardrobe change. p.s. definitely going to pick up sowing now.

Hey. What is the best length and for the shirt to be untucked at the bottom part (butt area)? Also, if the fit permits, is it okay to wear any type of shirt or maybe it is considered too daring/fashion-forward to do it? Thanks.

Hello Sir, I am looking for a pair of RAW denim jean by Lee (101 s/z). Would you recommend them? How often you wash your jeans - every six months or more often? Thank you in advance Sir.
Real Men Real Style (4 years ago)
+Allan Curtis Yes, I do recommend them. :-) I wash my jeans whenever it gets dirty - I don't necessarily wash them if I just wore them for a short period of time and they didn't get soiled or anything.

Iam a big guy, about 250 and my wife likes it when I tuck in my shirt, she says I look really sloppy if its not tucked in, and one thing that I've found with big guys and tucking in our shirts is that our bellies just overlap our belt buckle and we tend to look bad, so what I've done is just loosen my belt, to where it seems my belt and my stomach match more, less of my belly hanging over, but now my pants don't have a belt to keep them up! Do you have any tips on how big guys can still look good with their shirts tucked in?
Real Men Real Style (4 years ago)
+aaron St.Clair Belts aren’t much use to men with large, round stomachs. Because the shape of the stomach tapers, a circular band around it is just going to slip right off — it’s like trying to fasten a collar around the lower third of a basketball. This article should help: http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/07/24/large-man-style/
tamarin (4 years ago)
Hi. Are short sleeves considered for casual use? Like the one in plaids, just short sleeved. I noticed that many videos here, you usually wear long sleeves. :)
Real Men Real Style (4 years ago)
+creestee08 it's the standard dress shirt for summer casual.  Reserve the polo for true casual events on weekends. Unless it’s your company’s uniform, consider wearing a tasteful button down short sleeve during the week. This article should help: http://www.artofmanliness.com/2009/07/23/mans-guide-to-summer-dress-part-1/

Clarence So (4 years ago)
Hi Antonio, Before I begin my question, I would just like to say thank you for making these awesome videos. Currently I am 22 years old, graduated last year from university, and now living in Hong Kong working in an office job at Central district. As you may know, Hong Kong is well-known for its humidity, but being in Central, it is very difficult to compensate between dressing formally (and sharp) and staying comfortable in extreme weather. Usually, I see guys wearing either white, blue, light purple or pink dress shirts with black dress pants (the stereotypical office drone look), which to me is boring, yet I also dress in such a manner. In my situation, my dress code leans towards business casual in the office, with the occasional social networking events after work where I am required to wear a suit. Hence, my question is this: What are some tips for me to stand out, look sharp and steer away from looking like an office drone, but still feel comfortable in such a hot and humid environment? Many thanks, Clarence

Hey Antonio, I'm a Californian stationed in Singapore and am muscular.  I have a big challenge trying to find casual shirts that fit well.  You mentioned online shirt shops? Hanes? Can you shoot us some links on the best and safest place to order shirts.  I've always been reluctant as I don't want to get a shirt that's completely 'off' and I have to return it, back to the states.

Hi Antonio, do you have any recommendations for improving your tones and slowing down your speech without looking like you are buying for time? I have some problems with that ; ;
Real Men Real Style (4 years ago)
Sounds like a great video topic!  Maybe being very focused on the other person and what they are saying -oftentimes we aren't listening and just formulating what we want to say.....
TheGreektrojan (4 years ago)
People are generally uncomfortable with silence, thus they talk way to fast/high pitched. I'd try recording yourself because odds are you aren't really speaking that slowly and the pauses aren't really that long, you're just uncomfortable with them.
Unfortunately it's hard to find casual shirts that are short enough for us shorter gents

Great video! By the way, can you tailor a casual shirt several times? I recently bought a casual shirt, had it adjusted to fit me more closely, but it still has quite some fabric. Is it possible to tailor it a second time? Thanks in advance!
Real Men Real Style (4 years ago)
+Farouk Rana Yes, it is. As long as there's still excess fabric that your tailor can work with.

Excellent!. Thanks Antonio. I wish I had seen this video when I bought my new set of casual shirts (I lost 26 pounds). Shirts are one of the few items of clothing I am fairly confident in choosing and listening to this I was pleased to find out I'm very much on the right track. That said the breathing through the fabric tip was a great idea I never would have come up with, so thanks Antonio. One thing I will say about Epaulettes is they can be annoying when wearing backpacks if they have metal buttons as the weight of the backpack digs the buttons into the shoulders. But I too like the look of them overall, its just something to take into consideration for say uni students who want a casual shirt to uni that it can be a problem.
