Usage of mobile phones at such workplaces itself stands as a potential 'safety hazard'.

JustAnAI (1 year ago)
Great, person of interest coming to real life. Now we just have to wait until someone builds Samaritan until we all get controlled behind the scenes.
nooneknowsnothing (1 year ago)
Google already did it.

Ah, the future is now. Seeing all the 'advantages' of this new technological overwatch is as exciting as it is terrifying, but, like the proverbial frog in the pot, those who embrace it will slowly come to realize they are being cooked. This isn't a chapter from 'Brave New World', it is '1984', on steroids. The best of intentions.... http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/infrastructure/news/a26456/microsoft-machine-learning-vision/?src=nl&mag=pop&list=nl_pnl_news&date=051117
asdwaetd (1 year ago)
wow, corporations and governments are really using george orwells 1984 as a instruction manual
Andrés Rázuri (1 year ago)
Hell no, we don't need this Microsoft.
Ben Khasanov (1 year ago)
1:40 how did she know who to bring the saw??) And where is he located? I think it would be easier to use a radio
GamerDude911 (1 year ago)
In the video it said nearest person! so whoever is closets to the scene will get sent to control the situation.
deadgirlalive (1 year ago)
Most things this "camera" will be GREAT for in this video is causes of poor managemant and people not doing their jobs properly. Humans are not paying atention and this GREEEAT camera, that will be by no means used for opressive goverments and facists regimes, will help them out. Wow.
Jan van der Hooft (1 year ago)
Keep that shit as far away from me as possible! No freaking way!
Misak Ghazaryan (1 year ago)
this is straight out of Person of Interest, Microsoft is making "the machine"
Eric Mackrodt (1 year ago)
You're being watched. Microsoft has a secret system, a machine that spies on you every hour of every day.
sankara57 (1 year ago)
thought the same thing! kinda creepy...

I'm one of those idiots who bought a Microsoft Lumia 950XL. Let's hope the fix all the nightmarish problems with the next "Surface" badged phone series and finally add WebM playback that they've been promising for 2 years now.
Shafiq Rehman (1 year ago)

The hospital one seems so pointless...
nooneknowsnothing (1 year ago)
If a patient falls down walking, it can trigger an alert. Or if any equipment is moved/operated by  by unauthorized persons, it can alarm. . Hospitals needs the most for patients safety.
Chorditronix (1 year ago)
They should call this program Arcus... Because an Arcus cloud is technically at the edge of a cloud!

nooneknowsnothing (1 year ago)
Persons in off the limits areas. Unauthorized persons in the building. A gun in workplace or a school can trigger an alarm. SO many uses..
Zaid Adel (1 year ago)
What a shame Microsoft no Windows Phone
Athrun Zala (1 year ago)
Why would there be brand new cameras installed in a building that's still under construction
GamerDude911 (1 year ago)
They could just be temporary cameras, like when the construction is done they could easily remove the cameras.
Azim Alif (1 year ago)
This would be cool for the Hololens, for an Ironman Experience.
Khalid AlNajjar (1 year ago)
The only authorized person is not suppose to hold a hot saw like that .. But anyway this is great as long as it does not follow the same path all other companies follow and just because a money hording beast with ads and "locked features"
Casper N. (1 year ago)
Can't we just use our brain for all that? :)
James Davis (1 year ago)
TERRIFYING. This is a facade for more nefarious purposes. Just use your imagination.
GamerDude911 (1 year ago)
Ok I get it! I was just saying its main purpose is for construction and hospitals.
nooneknowsnothing (1 year ago)
It works with the off the shelf cameras. The magic is from "Machine learning & Artificial Intelligence".
GamerDude911 (1 year ago)
yeah but would a parent buy a high tech camera/alert system like this? No this is probably gonna cost thousands of dollars. They would rather just by a normal camera to watch recorded tape in the morning. and it probably won't be able to detect things In the dark unlesss if you have the lights on wich would be wasting electricity.
nooneknowsnothing (1 year ago)
What about your parent? U can have triggers if they fall down or motionless in bed longer than usual!!!
