Discussion on @Quora: Do some iPhone users have a cult-like devotion to Apple? If you answer yes, why do you believe that is that case?
Had samsung phone for a 10 days.. no thank you! Never agan.
Stupid useles android os
I am mac user for 12ys after i switch to mac after years of working with windows pc. Neve ever agsin go back to usles, viruses full, unstable windows pc platform
Same with android... sorry bro, i respect you and your work, but, we always use what best suits for our work.
But telling that iOS doesnt have “ that and that” means that you simple dont know how to use it,
That very big diff between “something is not working “ and “ i dont know how to use it”
Because apple ecosystem is superior to any android samsung os, phone , device
I was in the market for a new laptop for school. Always been a PC guy and android user. Recently started using Apple products at work and was thinking of changing my S9 to an iPhone when I am due for an upgrade and was looking at a Mac Air. I went to the Apple store and I was spoken down to for being a PC user. Literally had the go roll his eyes when I asked him how this product would be beneficial to me over a PC. In that split second I gave him a piece of my mind, that's one thing that oisses me off when someone looks down on me. I went to an electronic store and was looking over the laptops and purchased a Lenovo Flex 5 and I dont regret nothing. As far as my phone goes I think I will stick to android for now. Again I'm open minded but that sales agent was a fanboy with no product knowledge.
All I have ever used is Android phones. But I may change to the apple Because the ease of use connecting to the car. Like every time I get in to my car or work Vans or even lorry's. My phone sucks at connecting. I see work colleagues just connect to it likes it's nothing.
yea....but the resell value of an Apple product blows all the others out of the water. Its a better investment for me personally. For example, I bought a $2,100 MacBook Pro. Two years later go to trade up and sold it on eBay for $1,500. You can't do that with a Windows based laptop. Good luck getting $500 out of a $2,000 Windows laptop two years later. Thats the truth.
Dramatic pricing, just sold a high end 2012 laptop in 2019, for 700 usd, but to each their own? Not trying to dick wag, but i own a retina display imac fully loaded worth thousands, and my personal windows tower destroys it in raw performance, at 40% of the cost, with a high res monitor included. Those are the qualities us power users search for, affordable power, and if i get bad resell, it isn't a problem due to money spent vs performance achieved thoughout the duration of use, along with simplistic upgrades to continue the devices life. there are a lot of reasons it makes sense to go both ways in tech, it's up to what tool works best for you, and that's the point of the video, not to personally bash your macbook....
I love the way this argument is put together and agree. And I'm TYPING THIS on a 2016 MacBook Pro! Im no apple fanboy. I have a S8 and galaxy watch that I love. The reason I have a MacBook Pro is for app design, Its leaps and bounds easier to design iOS and android apps on a Mac than it is to design iOS apps on a windows machine. I love the part at the end where he says that people should get the computer that makes THEIR life the easiest.
Had an iPhone 4. I used a 3rd party app to manage it. I had to make a VM, install iTunes, extracted a few specific dll/misc files and then Installed them into the folder of the app on own windows install. I treated iTunes like a virus...lol... Ya blame me?!
Let’s put things into perspective anyways. In your mind you have to like android, made by the same company as the pixel, a product that mocks the iPhone while copying the design trends ie the headphone jack; and windows, by Microsoft who’s surface laptop is literally less repairable than a retina MacBook or even an Apple Watch. But I’m not that stupid I know better products that use those OSs exist. I just prefer the iPhone and Mac cause it’s comfortable and if I want I can install an android emulator on MacOs or install Linux or Windows
A MAC There’s a lot of things I have wrong with apple’s system but it’s the best for me. I’m actually annoyed that you dismissed anyone who uses Apple products as being tech minded. Please look outside your shallow and arbitrary bubble. I don’t care if you don’t like them. I care about the way how people exclude people from tech because of preferences over businesses that in the end doesn’t even matter
+JustChillingDom Dude, all you have done is criticize my opinion.
LOL yes, I am an elitist. I have earned my wisdom.
You are just pissed off that I pointed out that Apple's products suck.
The fact that you are offended by my opinion means that you know that I am right.
Really dude. You wanna believe you are a tech? Go ahead.
But not by my definition.
You have been looking at the question from a wrong angle. Maybe I am an apple fangirl, yes, but here's my 2 cents.
I have been windows user a LOT and it was BAD BAD BAD and then I switched to UBUNTU, very nice.
But the build quality was bad too, and to be on schedule with every release, I need to buy new stuff evry 6 months.
I bought a macbook pro 2010 used in 2014 for 400 bucks, upgraded ram ssd and used for 4 yers. Flawless
Then I bought a macbook 12 in 2017 used for $800, and it's great.
Now, I recently bought a macbook pro 2017 space grey w/touch bar for 1300 bucks, and it is perfect.
I edit 4k videos and for many other tasks and it is very good. I don't need to calculate the mass of Uranium to send astronauts in the space. I need it to do my normal task.
Then, I bought the iPhone 4s, 6s, 8 and now Xr. Yes, every 2 years apple "manage" to make the phones become "older", but anyway they are tools for EVERYDAY use, so, it's normal you want to be updated, no?
I bought an Ipad pro 9.7 in 2016 for $400 and I used without any issue for 2 years, I was running filmic pro, lumafusion, my work app, my cctv app. Amazing.
I recently took the ipad pro 11 256, because I needed more space to do my stuff.
My son has ipad mini1 and we have ipad mini2. Both working fine after 4/5 years (try that with samsung)
So, to do what I need, apple is perfect, nice quality building, friendly user. I do not give a shit about personalize my phone or expand my iPad. They work perfectly for me. Also, there are A LOT of app to transfer files and work better (sendanywhere for example).
When I buy a new item, I use the backup and in 10 minutes I am set. No crashes, no system bugs, no beta problem, no fix. IT IS WORKING, at least for me.
I also have a Xiaomi Pocophone f1, and it is amazing (I even broke the screen but it is still working fine), for only $280, but I got a lot of viruses, I needed to restore to have it fixed. With apple IT NEVER HAPPENED.
You do not like Apple? DON'T BUY IT. Simple as that. Nobody is forcing you with a gun.
My bottom line is this:
Macbook pro 2010 bought used for $400 in 2014, sold in september 2018 for $350
Iphone 4s bought in 2013 for $900 and sold in 2015 for $500
Iphone 6s bought for $900 and sold for $400 after 2 years
Iphone 8 bough in 2018 for $900, sold 3 months ago for $450
Ipad pro bought used for $400 in 2016, and sold in december 2018 for $350
Macbook 12 bought used for $800, and I can easily sell it for $700
And they all were still perfect. How many competitors can do that?
Try to do it with "the others"
With my pocophone (android), after one month I tried to sell, nobody wanted, used android has no value.
Idem with my Acer and with my Dell, and my google netbook and my other netbook I took last year. Impossible or very hard to re-sell.
New products are overpriced? Yes. Buy used.
They are closed system? Yes, but it's working fine like that.
Apple products last a bit longer compared with other brand, I can easily sell and I will always find someone who wants to buy, and that's my opinion guys.
I have Apple stuff. I’m not a fan boy and I’m tired of their bullshit which makes me want to move away but honestly I way prefer Mac OS to windows. It’s just such a more pleasant experience, the trackpad actually works accurately for one.
iPhone, yep, it doesn’t do everything an Android phone will do. It does 95% of what I need/want it to do and I’m happy to give up the 5% because it’s just simpler. I’m tired of faffing with stuff to customise it how I want. I used to be a Linux user and have compiled Gentoo in the past, I use Linux servers and have a windows 10 desktop so I know the differences. I can’t comment so much on Android nowadays but my first touch screen phone was Android. Initially the lock down of iOS pissed me off but now I’m happy to just go with it.
If I suffer from the screen flex cable issue with my 2016 MacBook then that will strongly push me to reconsider, but what would I go to? Windows? Maybe if they could actually create a trackpad that works but being on a *nix system in my option is the only way to go if you’re in web development that’s not .net or some other Microsoft product. That leaves Linux but I like to have commercial support e.g. for photo or video editing (although I’m out of touch with how commercial support for Linux is nowadays. I know it’s way better than it used to be)
I agree with the stuff about copying an MP3 file however I just use Spotify for music now and I stream movies and TV programs. That’s my choice and I’m happy with it. If you want to use other services or ways of getting media then that’s your choice.
I’d say if you’re happy with what you’re using then stick with it. And I guess that’s an interesting point to end on, despite me being pretty much everything Apple and happy with what I have right now, I can’t currently recommend them to anyone. They do a lot very right, they do a lot very wrong. I guess Microsoft does some stuff right and some stuff wrong but not to the same extremes.
*I still use a Samgung S2 (released 2011) that has more functionality than my wife's iphone 6s (released 2015).* You can browse and transfer files. You can save to any standard external SD card you want. You can play your songs easily without hassle. All your apps work and don't need to be uninstalled just to close them. You don't need to keep signing in to Apple accounts. You can use bluetooth and wireless transfer to other mobiles. You can close applications and reset them if they've stopped working without powercycling. It has a headphone jack and the power button works as it's supposed to (the current iOS doesn't powercycle with the power button, duh).
Oh my fuck I forgot all about those days. Trying to take a song off my ipod and move it to something else. It was so insane that it was so complicated. I honestly dont even know if it was possible actually..i cannot remember lol. Fucking apple.
the only apple device i have used since the 2e & original Mac, is a iphone 5c, that i bought on NEwegg, refurbished, for $80 in 2013 or so. it still runs now, i didnt update it for years, and it worked great for my needs. that all changed when i installed their "lets slow the phone down so they have to buy a new one" update. now its laggy & sluggish, but im stubborn, so im still using it, in 2019....makes me miss my old motorolla brief case cellular/car phone.
One of the biggest complaint's I have is that you must use iTunes to interface with any Apple product. You cannot simply copy and paste an MP3 to the drive.. you hit the nail on the head. Someone that can fix the product at the circuit level has to research how to get an MP3 on the device.
I'll say it again. I was like 6 years old when I learned how to do dos commands. If an ADHD ridden little shit like me can navigate DOS directories and execute games from command line, then... Then... I don't know. Lol. People need to get a grip. Shit ain't that hard.
I will not use them after my experience with an iPod touch. iPod touch has around a 1000mah battery, so naturally after using it for about a year the battery took a crap and would die after charging it even for a few hours. To make things worse a 20% battery left warning popped up every single second or minute I would try to use this thing because Apple put a crappy battery in their device. Fool me once fool me twice. To make a long story short I quickly figured out that it was possible to load a $10-20 android bought at Target with music after bypassing the activation which is dead simple and I had a MP3 player that didn't require proprietary software for around 80-90% less than what the iPod cost plus the android had at least 50% more battery life than the iPod touch and I would get 6-7 hours of streaming music out of the android and only 2 hours out of the iPod before it needed to be charged with the exact same streaming music setup. That was the end for me!
Discussion on @Quora: Do some iPhone users have a cult-like devotion to Apple? If you answer yes, why do you believe that is that case?
While I respect your choices, I do think it’s a little over the top. Most people are happy with a Mac or a IPhone or a Ipad. I love my IPad Pro. But of course anybody in a ecosystem already will have a hard time switching to the opposite side. I personally don’t see a need for a back button though I don’t need that considering I can switch between tasks quickly already on iOS (iOS does have a back button though).I also don’t see a need for many other features in Android because most of the features are irrelevant for most people, such as skins and widgets on the home screen. And as for quality complaints for Apple devices, while not excusing these if true, I see much worse quality from many other companies. Such as HP or Microsoft. Overall, like what you like. Go for what you want. I’ll stick to Apple products as I’ve only had great success with them. I don’t even purchase Apple care because I know Apple products last long and they do. Which has been the case for sure for me. I’ve had every iPad since the 4th gen and all have been phenomenal. Macs are also great machine, while limited compared to Windows in some departments like gaming, they are far better than Windows in many others in departments such as typing, browsing the interface, privacy, security, general quality. This is all relative, but this is the case for the vast majority of people. Either way, I won’t go on much further, but I will say every os and every phone and device has ups and downs. Android has its own. iOS has its own. Mac has its own. Windows has its own. Louis has his own opinions and so do I.
Hey Louis. Been watching your videos forever, and I feel it's time to weigh in on a certain subject. Today is 2/19/19. 3 days ago, I went to the apple store, and bought a brand new Macbook Pro. The next day I returned it. Let me give you my review on this overpriced, under speced P.O.S.
First let me get started with the obvious (things I knew before hand). No Card reader, HDMI port, USB ports, un-upgradable and of course... No disk drive. (Well, IT'S A MAC). Now for what I didn't know. Keyboard; The keyboard was minimized to the point of not having an "Enter" key. Of course you could enter by hitting the return key, but why? The keys felt, and sounded like they came off a $300. Walmart special. Can't understand how such an expensive computer would have the audacity to cut corners on such an integral, and well used component (But Hey... It"s A MAC). Next. The track pad was intrusively large taking up probably a 1/5-1/4 of the bottom half of the computer. The Magsafe break away charger has been removed (in other words, no second chance when some dumb ass at your favorite cafe walks in to your charging chord. Your Macbook pro will be on the floor, and being as delicate as they are, will probably require very expensive repairs, or replacement . And last but not least... It's running Mac High Sierra. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, High Sierra was discontinued in July of 2018, and is for all intents, and purposes, it is OBSOLETE!!!!! Well... What can I say? How do I come to the defense of my beloved Apple tech co. I guess I can't. I am heavily invested in Apple products, and will be forced to continue to use them for as long as they work. Apple has devolved into a designer brand. The Gucci of the tech world. They are focused on form over function, and are resting on the laurels of their leopard OS days. So anyone who is still in the market for Apple products. Whatever your looking for, there will always be one extra on the shelf.I am done with them. It was great while it lasted, but it didn't last. Their voracious greed has been, and will continue to be their undoing. Thank you Louis for trying to get the word out.
Those stupid iPhones and iPods were difficult to get things off of them. I thought I was the only one. I tried with an iPhone 4S someone gave me to load the files onto from their SD card and I couldn't even do it with my MacBook. I couldn't figure it out and gave up. Everything was taking too long. I've only messed with their laptops but not the rest of their line of products. Simple drag and drop. Screw Apple. They're in bed with RIAA and always have been.
Part of why Blackberry 10 failed is people didn't realize the productivity it offered and people wanted a dumbed down device: Their wonderful restricted iPhone. They were so ridiculous to buy the first iPhone that didn't even have a camera and then when it came with one they acted like Apple invented cell phone cameras. People like getting screwed over and they love totalitarianism. It must be.
I would say their laptops with OS X are really good and are way better than Windows from my experience but like I said, I'd never mess with an iPad or iPhone. No memory card, lack of options to get files on and off of. No thanks. Ridiculous prices for desktops that have lesser specs. Making everything a novelty item. Hard or impossible to upgrade ram, etc. It'll take them a lot to get me on board with them for anything other than their laptops.
Fan boys to me sounds a lot like liberal vs. conservative. It doesn't pay to be a fan boy of a company because it becomes worse than being a fan of a sports team. You get betrayed.
As a long time Windows user, I wanted to learn to use the MacOS either at work or personal use. However, each time I tried, I was let down. I just got back from the Apple Store hours age as I wanted to buy either a Mac mini or MacBook Air. I tried the MacOS for about half an hour and made the decision for the nth time not to move forward on a purchase.
The MacOS is just so difficult to use. The MacOS UI is far more cluttered than Windows 10 and MacOS requires more hand/finger movement/action than Windows. Three quick examples: 1) Most of time, there are far more icons at the bottom of the MacOS window than the Windows Taskbar. There's no group of the icons from the same app. At least, it's not the default out of the box. 2) The Finder requires move the pointer up and down and some typing. Verses the Circle button right next to the Start button on the Windows. 3) To show/hide an active window on the Mac, it takes two fingers to bring up the menu on the icon at the bottom of the screen, move the pointer to the Hide menu item then click on it. On Windows 10, it's just a single click to show then another click to hide.
I think I'll go back and try again 10 years later, once I forget tonight's experience and this comment.
But it's true though. Most Apple users I know want to buy Apple but don't know why they want it. If that doesn't u that they're idiots then i don't know what is.
Either they don't know or they will just say "it's apple". And that already tells me the kind of person this guy/gal is.
You fail to mention that Android is a complete clusterfuck of incompatibility. Apps specifically made for Android have all sorts of windows issue where you have to SCROLL in the app to see everything. Also, the possibility of touching the screen where you shouldn't and been catapulted God knows where and have to revert back to main screen because you are totally lost. It's easy, you pick one simple flaw iPad / iPhone have and repeatedly hammer on it. But for day to day easy of use, Apple product are the way to go. I'm a year and a half from my iPhone 5 to a galaxy s8 and everyday I still struggle even though I devolep IoT, domotic, Arduino, rapsberry pi stuff. I'm a techy and I love good tools and the galaxy S8 isn't one so far. Maybe other manufacturers are doing it better, but if you remove Samsung, Huawei, oppo who's left ? Google ? Gimmy a break.
Question, maybe I missed you saying it.... but Itunes and the Ipod flow well together. Why not use that program. It works on BOTH pc and Mac.... and before I even have a personal computer- our family share a PC tower and monitor. Itunes was our main music hub (held over 100 Gb of mp3 and mp4s) (windows Xp and onward) I am confused with your confusion.
Yes, there is a syncing annoyance, but u can turn that off. A number of programs have presets that are annoying- thats programs for ya. once the ipod is linked with Itunes, you can do manage the deceive. I had zero issues while owning a number of ipods since 2006/2007 . Still, own one to this day that works perfectly fine :) (just have a smartphone now that does everything... hahaaa)
I agree Apple is very 'different'. In so many ways, stupid different as you have pointed out. But think your perspective on Apple has shaded your learning experience. self-fulfilling prophecy is real :P And we all know how you feel about apple ;)
Nailed it. I even bought an iphone because to their credit they had beta software available I needed to evaluate for a project I'm working on. A lot of cuttings edge apps come out for IOS first before they come out for Android. Iphone XS Max has a very powerful processor as well, beating Android phones at this current time. I tried to like it, and even liked some aspects of it. It does have some apps you can't get on Android that are pretty cool. However, I had to pass it off to my wife and get a Samsung Note 9. I just couldn't stand it for the exact reasons you speak of. Horrible company.
Being in IT, of course the family asks me for favors, from time to time. Once, like some years ago, some aunt asked me to download photos from her trip to somewhere special from an iPad. I said "suuuure" (Louis's voice ; ) OMG how wrong I was at that point : ) A NIGHTMARE : ) itunes, syncing - where did the photos go and why can't I see the iPad in My Computer? Where did it sync them? How to just open those files? : ) TOTAL NIGHTMARE...
apple is overpriced american garbage many apple mac book pros dont last long at all i found out waht kind of garbage apple computers were 3 years ago i never buy them any more my friend also got ripped off from defective broken new apple computers
hits dont know , when was this but I copy and paste every day, you are a very smart guy no doubt , but this is not true , you forgot to say , that you can get free music , also not true I download videos all day. , I agree its different but more effective , I have used Windows for years , was trying to sell it , because I bought a Mac Pro and decided not too so I decided to use it as my spare when I tried to set up again for my personal use , so it updated to the latest version of Windows 10 , when I did this my computer went mute , had to download the audio drivers separately and took me a while to get it fixed , it’s like night and day , once I fixed it it worked fine , this is true and I’m not close minded saying apple has a perfect product, it just runs way smoother
I’ve had an iPhone for years now. Never owned an android... I still don’t know how to load music on my phone, and I refuse to DL iTunes. And even when I do I still don’t know how to use it. I hate Apple as a company, and this is the last iPhone I’ll probably ever buy, I have a iPhone 6plus right now. Looking to switch to Android, probably a galaxy or note. Still undecided
Thankfully a lot of google products have broken the walled garden. Switched to android when my 3 year old iphone was dying. Once i disabled imessage i could switch with everything synced automatically. Why people rely on icloud is beyond me
I had a relative call me over to install win10 in a vm on his apple rig... after the 5th time it magically worked. But the OS would only start up after 1-3 tries. I basically told him it's because windows doesn't play nice with apple hardware and drivers. So it's going to be very unstable and requires these xSteps to get it to work. He said all the IT people he took it (or called down) couldn't even get windows working on it. So he was happy, but I was dissatisfied.
Yeah, that's pretty similar to my feeling about Apple products ... under the premise of ease of use, Apple has turned their products into forcing the users to a very specific way of using them ... not even going to get into their walled garden of software and uses ...
Also, the way Apple fans rave about "new features" that Apple has only copied off of Android the last couple years ...
I worked for Apple in 2007. I can tell you they did not want you to pull songs off of their iPods. It was part of their agreement with the RIAA to allow their songs on the iTunes store. I took calls from customers who had lost their entire Library in iTunes and wanted to restore their music from their iPod that was in good working order. The answer was no, couldn't be done. I mean it could be done, but we couldn't tell our customers that.
The doing things differently is on purpose too. It's for the reason you stated, to make it harder to switch back and forth. Once you learn the Apple and a new version of Windows comes along you're unlikely to switch back. Apple takes the extra energy to get you to learn their way of doing things, and nobody gives a shit to teach you how to go back. Ball and chained.
It's kinda funny this happens RN... From a S4 (A gift. Hot as hell and broken, in many senses), passing thru a low-range WinPhone (my horribly aging good ol' Faithful) to an iP6 (just randomly sitting as a gift after I couldn't get my grandma to adapt, though she's ok with an OnePlus 1, which is an awesome phone still holding up after some ugly drops)... For now, it's kinda neutral. I do miss offline drag-and-drop, THE extra buttons, that awesome unit of a GPS my WP has (no WiFi neither mobile data, fully precise), also that sweet dark UI from WP. I don't go with all that extra services malarkey (like iTunes. I don't find it appealing). But it sort of cancels out for what I need. Sure, I would feel more filthy given the circumstances of being a purchase, but as a "randomly sitting there, turnt off" thing, not bad I guess?
So I'm doing the right thing by posting on new Android Phone Videos with more than 3 Cameras...don't have a 2nd SDcard Slot to expand Internal Storage (via Partitioning > ext4 Filesystem > Auto Link OBB 2 SD)
That's how I felt trying to go from iOS to Android. Nothing works the way it should. I can pretty much make that argument when moving from any system to another.
Something simple, and mandatory as far as I'm concerned, like a desktop tool to completely backup and restore the device didn't even exist. Should be easy right? You'd think so, but Android completely fails to provide a universal tool that can restore the data, apps and everything, from one Android device onto another. Apple has had this for years and it works. In it's place Google had some online backup that only saved some things. Some vendors provided their own tools that worked only with their device and also did only a partial backup. It's the same on the desktop. Apple has had Time Machine for a long time, while Microsoft has had an obscure mess.
Obviously this video is from several years ago, and the iOS copy paste limitation was several years prior to the video (pre-2009 in fact), it is simply not true that Apple's desktop operating system is limited or was back in 2009 (never mind 2014 when this video was made). And frankly Android back in 2009 wasn't great either.
How about: You don't want to use any mouse that has more than 2 Buttons and a scroll-wheel.
It blew my mind when I had trouble to get a logitech mouse working with IOS. And I failed. Why should I BUY a software so I can use all buttons?! This is the operation systems job.
I love this edgy look! I was so excited that her hair, even as short as it is now, was still able to be put into the fun and trendy dutch pigtail braids! Instead of braiding to the ends, I ended them in close together pigtails at the nape of her neck. After I finished braiding, I tugged on the outsides of the braid gently to loosen them and make them a little messy and fun! Since she doesn’t have enough hair to tie around the elastics, I made sure to use elastics that matched her hair so they blend in as much as possible. You could also cover them with clips or bows! A view from the back of her Dutch pigtail braids! A great braid for short hair is a micro accent braid! My biggest tip for braiding short hair would be to add in small slices of hair rather than big ones. I did a small (micro) braid along a slightly curved deep part for anther cute and edgy look! You could also do another one next to it if you wanted a little more to the look, but I really liked how simple this one was. You can see how the part curves a little better from this view of the back. I ended the braid close to the head with an elastic that matched her hair. For our fourth style, we did a 3/4 french braid! Super simple but also super cute! You could do any type braid! It would also look cute using a Dutch braid or a fishtail braid! I loved the side view of this braid! I will for sure be doing this one next time she goes to gymnastics or swimming, whichever comes first! Our last braid is two four dutch lace braids into two loops in the back. Start off by parting the hair down the middle. On each side of the part, do a dutch lace braid, adding hair in from only the section closest to the part as you braid. Tie the braids together in the back with a small elastic and before you pull the hair all the way through to make a ponytail, leave it in a cute little loop! If the hair is a little bit longer, you could do a tiny bun. Repeat this directly under the braid you just did so you have two rows and two loops.
We will have to be coming up with lots more short hair braids in the future, so be sure to give us a follow over at our newly redesigned blog Abella’s Braids to see more as we do them!
Thanks for reading! See you again this time next month!
love these ideas! My daughter recently cut about 8 inches off her hair and is loving her shorter hair, but I’ve mostly been at a loss of what to do with it! Thanks!
Abella has been begging me for at least a year, probably closer to two years, to cut her hair. I posted a photo on Instagram with a question in the caption. “Abella has been begging me to cut her hair short, do you think I should let her do it?” Almost everyone said “YES!” So thanks to all of the good advice from my followers, we did it…and we haven’t regretted it for a second! I think she looks so cute and it really fits her personality! It’s for sure a lot harder to come up with braids but it’s pushed me to step out of my comfort zone! We wanted to show you that even if you have short hair, there are lots of cute braids you can still do!
This first braid (above) is three ladder braids. Start out with a part deep to one side. On the side with less hair, start out by doing a waterfall braid along the part. Under that one, do another waterfall braid, but incorporate the waterfall pieces from the one above it as you braid. Under that one, do a french braid. Incorporate the waterfall pieces from the second braid as you go. We braided each one to the ends and used elastics that matched her hair to tie them off.
