Want to appear truly wealthy? Speak with elegance and class. Have great posture and manners. Enhance your vocabulary through literature. Learn multiple languages. Wear neutral clothing, with a pop of color at times. Invest in nice quality, leather shoes and handbags. Don’t display logos ostentatiously. Don’t wear imitation hair or nails, keep everything simple and neat. Basically do the opposite of every “famous” person on Instagram and reality tv.
I usually don't watch too much on youtube but, something made me check out your video. You were a pleasure to watch and to listen too. Your tips made sense and they were easily attainable. I did subscribe so keep up with the informative info. I have many different looks. I am not really about spending too much time or effort into it. But, I think I am doing ok for now. Don't have that housewife in sweats look yet! Lol!
If it’s on your flank, it’s not an asset in your bank. Wear fewer clothes of higher quality and keep the rest of that money in your bank account; so you can actually BECOME wealthy, one day. If the bag is not leather, put it down. I have never met a wealthy person who carries a pleather bag. They will carry canvas bags before they carry fake leather. Don’t wear every piece of jewelry you own at the same time. A good rule is — wear earrings whenever you like; but if you wear a bracelet, ditch the necklace and vice-versa; if you wear a necklace, skip the bracelet. Too much anything makes a person look like they are trying too hard.... like they have something to prove. Wealthy people don’t have anything to prove to the public. It’s like if you go to the bank for a loan, or apply for a job. If you seem desperate for the money or job you wont get it. If you don’t really need them, you’ll probably get them.
great video wish i can handle heels. What is great style up for a 30 old with no kids on a budget? I go every year to family beach house in New Jersey and I go with my family do i just dress casual? Jersey another state is fashion able like Nyc
I get pedicure and acrylic nails. Nothing is worse than callused feet or chewed finger nails. Neutral non glittery polishes. Good grooming is essential. I remember hearing that rich men like straight hair. I have spent a lot of money straightener. But still married a poor man, after 37 years I didn’t do too bad. Tat a.
Shea I am a older woman but love fashion and since I've got older i buy clothes an jewelry that are basic but simple., and look expensive. I love shopping for bargains I will buy a 1,000 outfit an get it at 70-80% off. Shea keep up the good work.
Hi Shea yes I am new today to your Chanel and my weakness is luxury skin care and makeup, being a mature lady my clothes are classic style and I generally wear pointy toe heels or flats, i alway wear gold fine jewellery, plus to help me stay comfortable in my heels I wear tight with a non slip foot tights, being mature and petite I wear straight leg trousers. Jeans at the weekend usually with white tee shirts and a navy blazer.
I hate neutral colors & they look dreadful on me. I stick with black. Also I loathe pointy shoes! I like the tip about shoes & purses, always a good investment. I think the take-away here is: don't be garish :)
The larger the logo—the cheaper the look.
You ought to mention buying vintage/designer from eBay and consignment stores AND the absolute necessity of _clothes fitting well_ (go to a tailor!).
And sorry but, you are wearing too much makeup even for the camera!
Try to breathe a bit more when you talk—you have a very grating, nasal tone (definitely NOT old money. And you actually said, "more trendier" and "off of"?? Grammar matters).
More photos and less of your face would illustrate your points better. ☮
So I'm a huge lover of YT video's but I don't have video's on my channel. Honestly, I thought I had to set up an account to be able to view video's!! Lol!! But, I love your video's and all you share with the public!!
It shouldn't say how to look "expensive" more like how to look more classy and natural. Being from Laguna beach where people have beach homes worth millions, typical attire is jeans, Tees and flip flops. Cali casual not expensive.
Sometimes you want to make your style more special - something you wouldn't ordinarily do. I understand the logic of your video. I have an inexpensive gold chain necklace. It looks expensive, so I suggest purchasing the right jewellery pieces. Looking put together includes healthy well trimmed hair.
Hello check out our 2019 Funny t-shirt for valentine's day and tell us if you like it or not click the link below and tell us what you think https://www.etsy.com/listing/659857770/funny-t-shirt-2019-for-valentines-day
$200 for a strip a fabric is ridiculous! I sew. Use a nice scarf instead. I like the idea of incorporating a vintage piece. You can find vintage handbags on ebay at reasonable prices. "Trying" to look expensive, looks just that, "Trying." Be yourself, be creative. Ripped jeans with holes are not elegant, just because you wear pumps. My cousin (Jimmy), use to bring custom made leather jackets from Mexico. He had all different colors, lengths, and styles. Us girls, ladies, men, went crazy! We all got a great custom leather jacket from JImmy! I make and sell an item to wear that looks a millon bucks for only $20. Cost me under $10 to make. There's a way to do it. I sell out at every show. Going to start branding it. I'm told to raise my prices. Ladies will be buy 3 at a time. 5 yrs. going strong. Never goes out of style.
I felt like wearing a black tutu my bf bought me at hot topic for Halloween with black tank top and gray sweater with red lips today& my friend asked, why r u wearing that? I said I'm trying to look like a Kardashian.ive been into the show lately..He's so judgmental.ugh
RE: Leather Jacket
I had the same problem trying to find a leather jacket and I caved and had one made! I found a really amazing tailor that could look at a few pictures, take my measurements and recreate the look I wanted. Boom. Bespoke piece. I also had a wool coat that had been discontinued made up from pictures and the best part of it was I got to pick my fabric, the lining, the stitching, the fasteners, everything! Depending on where you go you can get a piece made for a reasonable price. I also recommend getting your cheaper clothes tailored so they lay correctly. It makes a world of difference to not have to be adjusting yourself all day because your clothes actually fit.
Good luck in your quest for your perfect leather jacket!
Shit!.. I am so vexed with some of the comments here, all from ladies, like TF!.. Someone posts a video with a self-explanatory title, pray tell, where you compelled to watch it?.. No! yet you clicked and went ahead to dictate how she should have spoken and how long the duration of the video should have been.. Bitch pls.. 🙄
Don't click on someone's video, if you've got nothing good to say, most of you, if not all of you thrashing her are just mad you can't afford luxury items. Pls don't take it out on Shea, work hard and maybe someday, you will be able to gift yourself an hermes or gucci bag.. Most of y'all talking bout not liking brands, talking bout not gonna advertise for a brand.. Hahahahaha.. Bitch, that's cos you can't afford it!.
Dont hate on another's success.. You can't tell me how to spend my own frigg'n money.. I invest!.. I save!.. And most importantly I spoiiiiiillll myself whenever the heck I want to..
Life is for the living!.. Enjoy the fuck out of it!
My gosh how mean people can be from the anonymity of their hateful keyboards. I've been an airline stewardess for years and this girl knows what she's talking about. It's crazy how tacky people dress to travel or go anywhere anymore. Getting on a plane in pajamas oh yes I've seen it. Haters going to hate but this girl knows of which she speaks. If you don't care....then throw on those sweatpants, don't bother brushing your hair and slip on that holey shirt with your bra straps hanging out. To each their own.
I love this edgy look! I was so excited that her hair, even as short as it is now, was still able to be put into the fun and trendy dutch pigtail braids! Instead of braiding to the ends, I ended them in close together pigtails at the nape of her neck. After I finished braiding, I tugged on the outsides of the braid gently to loosen them and make them a little messy and fun! Since she doesn’t have enough hair to tie around the elastics, I made sure to use elastics that matched her hair so they blend in as much as possible. You could also cover them with clips or bows! A view from the back of her Dutch pigtail braids! A great braid for short hair is a micro accent braid! My biggest tip for braiding short hair would be to add in small slices of hair rather than big ones. I did a small (micro) braid along a slightly curved deep part for anther cute and edgy look! You could also do another one next to it if you wanted a little more to the look, but I really liked how simple this one was. You can see how the part curves a little better from this view of the back. I ended the braid close to the head with an elastic that matched her hair. For our fourth style, we did a 3/4 french braid! Super simple but also super cute! You could do any type braid! It would also look cute using a Dutch braid or a fishtail braid! I loved the side view of this braid! I will for sure be doing this one next time she goes to gymnastics or swimming, whichever comes first! Our last braid is two four dutch lace braids into two loops in the back. Start off by parting the hair down the middle. On each side of the part, do a dutch lace braid, adding hair in from only the section closest to the part as you braid. Tie the braids together in the back with a small elastic and before you pull the hair all the way through to make a ponytail, leave it in a cute little loop! If the hair is a little bit longer, you could do a tiny bun. Repeat this directly under the braid you just did so you have two rows and two loops.
We will have to be coming up with lots more short hair braids in the future, so be sure to give us a follow over at our newly redesigned blog Abella’s Braids to see more as we do them!
Thanks for reading! See you again this time next month!
love these ideas! My daughter recently cut about 8 inches off her hair and is loving her shorter hair, but I’ve mostly been at a loss of what to do with it! Thanks!
Abella has been begging me for at least a year, probably closer to two years, to cut her hair. I posted a photo on Instagram with a question in the caption. “Abella has been begging me to cut her hair short, do you think I should let her do it?” Almost everyone said “YES!” So thanks to all of the good advice from my followers, we did it…and we haven’t regretted it for a second! I think she looks so cute and it really fits her personality! It’s for sure a lot harder to come up with braids but it’s pushed me to step out of my comfort zone! We wanted to show you that even if you have short hair, there are lots of cute braids you can still do!
This first braid (above) is three ladder braids. Start out with a part deep to one side. On the side with less hair, start out by doing a waterfall braid along the part. Under that one, do another waterfall braid, but incorporate the waterfall pieces from the one above it as you braid. Under that one, do a french braid. Incorporate the waterfall pieces from the second braid as you go. We braided each one to the ends and used elastics that matched her hair to tie them off.
