Tell me about the first time you shaved!
I shaved for the first time in the fifth grade, even though I wasn't allowed to! I asked my friend Stephanie to bring razors to school in a ziplock bag and I snuck them in the house by way of my backpack. Since I had no idea what I was doing (and YouTube wasn't a "thing" when I was a fifth grader) I ended up slicing the back of my ankle and I still have the scar to this day to remind me!!
Ashley Devonna the first time I shave was in 7th grade, I had enough of my very long body hair so, I took my mom’s razor and started shaving. I was really careful and I don’t think I got any cuts. My friends didn’t think it was ok to shave, they said that it will cause ingrown hair. Idk, I never listened to them
same...I was a 4th or 5th grader and I decided to ue my mums razor to shave. I barely had hair but I did it and it got thicker and i got loads of cuts and stuff. My mum found out and got me in SOOO much trouble. But i kept on doing it
Woaahh Okay my first time shaving was horrible! Like most of us here my mother never taught me how to shave, so I took it in my own hands to do it myself. When I was twelve my mom would keep Nair and Razors in the shower. Since my friends would tell me they were shaving I tried it to but Instead I shaved up instead of down which cause bleeding 😭and went on top of that with Nair. I let the Nair sit so long it burned my skin! Long story short thank god for videos like this🤦🏾♂️I don’t want the 12–16 year olds to do what I did when I was young and dumb!😭
instead of scrubbing your foot (what it makes even worse later) you should bath them in foot bathing granules with UREA and after that with foot creme also with UREA. Watch for cremes with the highest UREA. when you do this weekly, your foot is healthy and not hurt by scrubbing (no sores or cracks who burns or might bleed sometimes) (hope you can read my terrible english xD )
Hi- this is a great video! I noticed that you left your water on the whole time you shaved and that is going to waste a lot of water and energy, I would recommend, getting a bowl of water and swish your blade through to clean in between shave strokes. 😊
The first time I shaved I got scared and was presses down at all so my mom had to do my legs. Then I eventually could do it by myself. But it took a few months before I could shave my arm pits by myself m😂😂
First time shaved i took my dad’s razor (a cheap deli razor 😂 )took it to school, mind u i was only 12 years old in 6th grade. At the end of school day with the weather already being spring time shorts weather in nyc. I went to the bathroom stall and shaved my legs all dry with paper towel and lotion to shave and moisturize got a couple of cuts around my ankle. But i cleaned up put my shorts on and left the bathroom all proud and shit 💪🏽😂
Call me nasty, but I didn't shave until I was 16 because I really didn't care about what people thought of my leg hair. The only reason I shaved was because I wanted to have soft skin.
I've only cut myself shaving, I've been very careful for every other time. But the first time I shaved I have nearly half an inch worth of shaving cream on my whole body. Mama got so mad! Lol!
But thanks for your video. Very good tips.
Your skin is beautiful! And I love your routine, I'm going to try it! I'm just wondering at which step do I use the "Strawberry Legs" product and "Razor Bumps/Ingrown Hairs" product from your product list in the description box? Like should I use them right after shaving? Thank you! :)
You're so fucking PRETTY! Good lord. What a goddess.. ❤ Also, this helped a lot. I suffer from strawberry legs. And it sucks, but I'm starting to understand the condition and I'm treating it regularly! Good luck to everyone else out there dealing with strawberry legs.. I root for you! It's a stubborn condition and I know it's a pain in the bum.
Haha ok so my first time shaving my Bestfriend was over ya know we were just chilling and she was like lily let’s shave ur legs to we go the bath and she’s doing it for me n I’m freaking out like Jess ur gonna cut me!! And yes it was all done haha and by the end I had cuts everywhere ahhHa
I was taking a shower once and my best friend was at my house when I was done almost like 40-50 min. I finished I changed and I went to sit at the table. This bitch went "Girl it took u that long to take a shower and I have longer hair than u" in my hair I said bitch I got thick hair like THICK THICK and I just said "hair dont matter" like tf what is her problem if I take long.
What I hate about shaving my stomach is that once shaving it grows back worse so now i really have to shave all the time. Lol I wish I never shaved my back..some reason I thought that was ok when I was in high School.
My first time shaving was so boring. I don't really grow hair on my legs - like I can go about a month or 2 before shaving again - so the first time I did shave there wasn't really anything and I just don't really shave no more, but people still think I do because my legs are real smooth
I thought I was the only one who grows hair on their stomach🤦♀️😂 my first time shaving I was in 8th grade so this year😂 I felt so embarrassed to ask my mom and she was in per period so she got so mad for some reason but I shaved and my dad was big mad😂 but whatever
I love this edgy look! I was so excited that her hair, even as short as it is now, was still able to be put into the fun and trendy dutch pigtail braids! Instead of braiding to the ends, I ended them in close together pigtails at the nape of her neck. After I finished braiding, I tugged on the outsides of the braid gently to loosen them and make them a little messy and fun! Since she doesn’t have enough hair to tie around the elastics, I made sure to use elastics that matched her hair so they blend in as much as possible. You could also cover them with clips or bows! A view from the back of her Dutch pigtail braids! A great braid for short hair is a micro accent braid! My biggest tip for braiding short hair would be to add in small slices of hair rather than big ones. I did a small (micro) braid along a slightly curved deep part for anther cute and edgy look! You could also do another one next to it if you wanted a little more to the look, but I really liked how simple this one was. You can see how the part curves a little better from this view of the back. I ended the braid close to the head with an elastic that matched her hair. For our fourth style, we did a 3/4 french braid! Super simple but also super cute! You could do any type braid! It would also look cute using a Dutch braid or a fishtail braid! I loved the side view of this braid! I will for sure be doing this one next time she goes to gymnastics or swimming, whichever comes first! Our last braid is two four dutch lace braids into two loops in the back. Start off by parting the hair down the middle. On each side of the part, do a dutch lace braid, adding hair in from only the section closest to the part as you braid. Tie the braids together in the back with a small elastic and before you pull the hair all the way through to make a ponytail, leave it in a cute little loop! If the hair is a little bit longer, you could do a tiny bun. Repeat this directly under the braid you just did so you have two rows and two loops.
We will have to be coming up with lots more short hair braids in the future, so be sure to give us a follow over at our newly redesigned blog Abella’s Braids to see more as we do them!
Thanks for reading! See you again this time next month!
love these ideas! My daughter recently cut about 8 inches off her hair and is loving her shorter hair, but I’ve mostly been at a loss of what to do with it! Thanks!
Abella has been begging me for at least a year, probably closer to two years, to cut her hair. I posted a photo on Instagram with a question in the caption. “Abella has been begging me to cut her hair short, do you think I should let her do it?” Almost everyone said “YES!” So thanks to all of the good advice from my followers, we did it…and we haven’t regretted it for a second! I think she looks so cute and it really fits her personality! It’s for sure a lot harder to come up with braids but it’s pushed me to step out of my comfort zone! We wanted to show you that even if you have short hair, there are lots of cute braids you can still do!
This first braid (above) is three ladder braids. Start out with a part deep to one side. On the side with less hair, start out by doing a waterfall braid along the part. Under that one, do another waterfall braid, but incorporate the waterfall pieces from the one above it as you braid. Under that one, do a french braid. Incorporate the waterfall pieces from the second braid as you go. We braided each one to the ends and used elastics that matched her hair to tie them off.
