They wont give me a diagnosis, and I need my pip back, or money from another source, in order to stay financially balanced.

make a video about paying attention during lectures or focusing while doing homework/studying.

Hi there. I stumbled onto your videos and find them really interesting. I am not autistic but I can identify in a lot of what you say — in a very articulate and insightful way. Thanks for sharing.
Marianna (1 year ago)
I'm on the waiting list for an ASC assessment and I've been binging on your videos. Thanks for being you! If you are doing a Q&A, would you ever talk about your experience of being diagnosed, in particular, how you felt at the time?
Anna Sfakianaki (1 year ago)
I would recommend you to go to a classical music concert. It is really refreshing! I am a classical musician who once wanted to become a physicist and I might have Asperger's syndrome but I don't mind because I am starting to really enjoy my life through music. My favorite musicians are Janine Jansen and Gustavo Dudamel (violinist and conductor). I think you may like to listen to them. It is like a Disney movie, I don't know, it is just wonderful. Have fun :)

I'm also a non-drinker at uni and completely agree about how boring pre-drinking is lol. Nice to hear an update :)

I thought you didn't like bananas lol. My obsession is listening to favourite songs again and again. I'm obsessed with aliens and making miniature dollhouse furniture. I'm glad you're enjoying uni life

You mention in an earlier video about how you used to have difficulties with maths but that something changed and now you're doing a degree that requires a lot of it. What do you think it was that changed? Would be good if you could speak more about that. plllleeeeeeeease please please! Would appreciate it so much.
zeldahime (10 months ago)
I didn't see that video, but I have had a similar experience. In fact, I gave up Physics and I'm finishing a degree in Mathematics. I also have ASD. I didn't understand why at first, but on retrospect, I think it's about both the order that things are taught, as well as the way things are taught. Mathematics in the first years have a lot of things you need to memorize, and the teachers won't really teach the logic behind everything (they say it's too hard for kids). It also has a lot of geometry, which I'm still terrible with, because I'm unable to visualize things, and I have a very hard time seeing logic in and understanding geometry in general. After a certain point, you leave geometry behind, and things become more logical and make more sense. It's not something you memorize, it's something you understand, and then you can deduce anything logically from a very basic set of things you need to remember. That's what I realized with me, at least. I still have a hard time remembering multiplication tables, and I have a hard time dividing numbers, but I love university level mathematics, specially logic and topology, and I'm pretty good at it.

Glad to know you're doing well. Pass on the dates though lol. I can't stand them. I'd be down for a Q&A! Can't think of a question now though.

I’m glad you’re having a good time at uni - you look relaxed Anja :) always love your videos as a fellow aspie & can relate to much of what you say.
Dorcas Megan Yábar (1 year ago)
Have you tried chewable jewellery or something like that? Invisiblei (also an aspie) has reviewed loads if it's something you think you might find helpful.

What are your career plans, have you thought about that much?
Hazel Filmer (1 year ago)
Why don’t you ask a friend of yours from Uni to do a video with you or your family :)
Jh Bong (1 year ago)
Suggestion: You could talk about fashion, clothes and shopping for people with autism. Because they may have sensitivities to bright lights (display lights) and clothes material, so how do you deal with it?
Ben De Groeve (1 year ago)
Some ideas... Do you know the Intense World Theory of autism? Do you know the Hyper brain/Hyper body theory of intelligence? Thoughts on the link between intelligence and autism? Thoughts about sensory processing sensitivity? Something about the link between autism and your different senses?

read an article recently where quite a few women with ASD talked about less trouble with social aspects but a lot of trouble with small daily tasks like grocery shopping or household things. I personally relate to that a lot.
5 million pizzas (1 year ago)
Nikki Nichols lol, it's the opposite for me and I'm also a female :) social situations are the worst for me just because they take up so much energy.
Nikki Nichols (1 year ago)
Sorry, what are freshers? I'm American so I'm not sure what that refers to exactly
Anja Melissa (1 year ago)
+Nikki Nichols it’s the first couple of weeks when you first start university and you mostly just go out clubbing and drinking to socialise and make friends :)
Misty Ballard (1 year ago)
Good to hear from you. Would love to hear more about your childhood, as I have a newly diagnosed daughter. She's 3, and since Aspergers isn't typically diagnosed until a little later in life and technically not diagnosed anymore, there isn't a lot of information available on kids her age with it. Thank you for the videos! ❤️

Glad to see you back :)
Galactus (1 year ago)
how do you push yourself to try someone new? because for me i bought drums and im so into them but im so scared of judgement because i know im gonna start off bad but its also not like anything else i have done where if im bad i can just fix the problem in my head
Galactus (1 year ago)
also its just giving me alot of anxiety/fear
Galactus (1 year ago)
thats my biggest problem if i start something i always have to finish it no matter how much hell im going through, so like consuming food included

Yay!!! Update! You look well. Weight looks good and you don’t look tired. Ha!

What’s your secret to staying motivated during uni? By the end of my first term I was mentally crushed and felt too depressed to work anymore.
Masticina Akicta (1 year ago)
Nice that your flatmates care that much about you :) It is good to have friends, definitely if you can't choose them.
Liam O Donovan (1 year ago)
great to see you back sweetheart you are so adorble and you are so interesting to listen to love you

Honestly I do the same thing with food! I remember recently I was in love with Maltesers chocolates and I bought a celebration sized bag (800 grams) and finished it in a few days lol 😋

Great to see you back and listen to how much confidence you've gained in yourself over the past twelve months. Really good to see. Have a wonderful Christmas in Switzerland and very much hope to see a new video soon. I would love to know how you feel you have changed as a person in the sense of anxiety, making friends, socialising since you were at school (GCSE /A levels) and now at Uni. What do you think has been the major factor in your anxiety lessening and gaining confidence in yourself? Big topic but I am impressed with your growth as a person. Thanks!
Emily Lamb (1 year ago)
Yay welcome back :) Maybe you can do a video about how you stay organized at uni?
Mill Haus (1 year ago)
Thank you Anja for the x-mas present ;-) A few days I thought of maybe writing to you asking how your life is going and if you plan to make another video even if you probably said almost everything one could say about Aspergers.. I was just wondering how you're doing. In the end I didn't, but I see others did and: voila, here you are. :-) I wish you a good time in Switzerland! Cheers from Bern
Mill Haus (1 year ago)
forgot to tell my suggestion.. I'd find it pretty cool (and fun?) if you once made a video speaking swiss german. I personally can't speak it but understand it properly as I've been living there for ages (not really for ages but it feels like)
jon Bell (1 year ago)
I watched your videos for a while now here and there. I had a psychologist while at UC Berkeley, upon coming back many years later after a hospitalization my second year, tell me I have Aspergers, not my diagnosis schizophrenia, though whatever the diagnosis the meds are very much the same. I was hospitalized falling for a boy who had Aspergers as Well, anyways, he liked girls so that settled that years later, but my diagnosis helped me and now I am becoming a special ed teacher. I think perhaps the ocd with the trash could be overcome starting composting veg waste and gardening with the soil you make. I do that and find it therapeutic. I am glad you are becoming independent, you are young for that, as I'm 15 years with diagnosis and only realizing independence recently, though I learned the ropes and can help navigate that for some people. I took a class on autism spectrum disorders and that was eye opening as well. Thanks for the vid!
Hannah Knight (1 year ago)
Hi I have Aspergers too and I love your videos! I love your hair by the way have you dip dyed it?? You should definitely make more regular videos I feel like I can relate to you more than any other you tubers with autis/aspergers!
Anja Melissa (1 year ago)
+Hannah Knight hey! Nah my hairs just blonde from the summer because I went swimming a lot and now my winter hair hasn’t seen any hair 💔

My current food obsession is Paella that comes frozen in a bag from Lidl. Previous things have been quorn 'chicken' burgers, my version of fajitas, cinnamon cereal...it depends what my food thing is at the time but overall I think my diet is as balanced as it will get! Good to hear uni is going well :)

You look beautiful .
Milena Karla (1 year ago)
I feel like a creep but as a girl, I looked at her in this video and thought: "She must be in her fertile period", because she is looking naturally prettier and also a bit distracted; just how I feel on mine.
Shian (1 year ago)
Two topics I would like to see you cover: 1: Oxytocin, apparently getting oxyticin can have a positive impact on people with autism. 2: I read online that martial arts and swimming are somehow exceptions to the poor motor skills people with autsim usually has, is that something you have experiance with?
Arbitrary Epiphany (11 months ago)
Martial arts is actually my special interest. Funny enough, while I find myself moving with my art in mind I'm pretty graceful, but not at all when I'm off thinking about anything else.
louis Faucompre (1 year ago)
Same I've got Autism and Dyespraxia and I can't go 400 meters without tripping over, but some how I'm a regional champion in butterfly.
Katie M (1 year ago)
I think that is a generalisation - I have ASD and my job involves very fine motor skills around very delicate irreplacable valuable items. However I can't walk through my flat without banging myself on something! I also grew up taking part in many individual sports and different types of dance classes. Every autistic person is different. 😊
Nikki Nichols (1 year ago)
Shian actually swimming is the only sport I've ever been good at

What do you do in the modelling society, arrange fashion outfits, pose for shoots, take photos....? I really like that picture behind you. Do you know the artist's name or title of the print?
Anja Melissa (1 year ago)
+Shanrocks777 im pretty sure it’s just a cheap photo my mum found in TK Max haha but unfortunately I don’t know the name or the title ... mostly I just pose for shoots :)
Milena Karla (1 year ago)
Suggestion: any obsession you have, make a video talking about it and showing us, for example, the clothes you find cool, outfits and such, that would be pretty cool!
